Michael has never seen Jessie this happy before, he watched as Jessie cuddle her sister as they were both still in the living room because she refuse to go upstairs to her room saying she has to wait for the others to return first even after Michael told her it's not necessary she still insisted to wait for them so he just let her be 

Michael had the urge to sit next to Jessie and wrap his hands around Jessie and her sister but he refrain himself and just stare at them as they both waited for the rest of the family to return 

 

An hour later later the entire family returned in one piece, which made Michael really happy because he would have been sad if anybody got injured 

Welcome back, Michael said to them 

Jessie who was asleep but woke up by the sound of their voices

She stood up with a smile, I'm glad you guys are back, she said cheerful 

I really appreciate what you all did for me, because of all of you I have my sister back which I'm very grateful for, Jessie said looking down at her sister who was fast asleep 

Jessie you don't have to thank us, Elena said moving forward, placing her hand on Jessie's shoulder 

We are family and we protect our know, Elena said with a smile as she glance at michael before she return her attention to Jessie 

Jessie was a little confuse by Elena's statement and she also notice the silent conversation between Elena and Michael which she did not understand, she just shrugged not caring about what they were saying 

I have my sister with me, that's important she said to herself 

Why don't you take your sister upstairs so she can have a proper rest, Elena said 

Okay, Jessie said as she picked up her sister from the couch and head upstairs to her room 

Michael smiled at them as he watched them leave 

Michael, Raguel called out 

Michael did not even hear Raguel called out to him because his attention was focused on Jessie heading upstairs and even though she was no longer in sight he still stare with a smile on his face 

Michael! Raguel called out again 

What? Michael said turning to Raguel giving him his full attention 

We need to talk, Raguel said 

I'm out of here, Elena announced as she hurried out of the living room 

The rest of the family did not even waste any more time sitting in the living room  as they all immediately left the room leaving Raguel and Michael alone 

Sit down, Raguel said 

Michael quietly obeyed because he knows what was coming next 

Raguel paced around instead of him to take a sit next to Michael which made Michael really nervous 

What the hell were you thinking? Raguel asked sternly 

He knows there is a child upstairs that needs rest so he tried his best to keep his voice down 

Why did you leave without us? Raguel asked 

I'm sorry Michael said softy

Sorry? Raguel asked 

What if you were hurt before we got there? Raguel said 

You were upstairs one minute and the other minute Elena came downstairs telling me you were gone, Raguel said 

Why did you put your life at risk like that? Raguel asked softly as he finally sat next to Michael 

Jessie needed our help, Michael said

I'm glad you said "our" help, because we were planning to go after her before you left on your own 

I couldn't wait, Michael said, I was really worried about her he added 

Raguel sigh softly 

Is she worth loosing your life for? Raguel asked 

"Yes" Michael said quickly 

She's worth it, he added 

 

Raguel stared at Michael as if he had two heads,

I just don't understand you, Raguel muttered 

But I'm really glad you were not hurt, Raguel said 

What happened to that demon in the basement? Michael asked 

When he lead us to the demon zone, he pleaded for his life saying he has showed us what we were looking for he said we should let him go 

And you did? Michael asked 

Yes we did let him go, Raguel said 

I'm sure he will be dead by now because the demon's will know he lead you guys there since he was captured by us 

I don't think so, Raguel said 

Why? Michael asked 

The demon refused to enter the demon zone when we landed, after pleading for his life he vanished leaving the demon zone, he said he did not have anyone that cares about him there so he will go on exile, Raguel said 

Do you think its wise to let a demon roam freely on earth? Michael asked 

I have someone that is keeping watch over him to make sure he does not cause any harm to anybody 

That's good, Michael said 

I will go upstairs now, Raguel said 

Sure, Michael said 

See you later, Raguel said before he left for his room 

Michael sigh softly as he rest his back on the couch and thought about Jessie and the feeling he got when he kissed her neck 

How will it feel when I kiss those lips of hers? Michael asked himself 

The thought of kissing Jessie's lips send shiver down his spine 

He smiled widely at his thought 

 

He heard footsteps which made him look up and he saw Jessie making her way to the kitchen

He stood up immediately and and followed her to the kitchen, he watched as Jessie moved around the kitchen still unaware of his presence 

He watched as she pour a glass of water, he watched her drink the water 

Jessie was so engrossed in her thoughts that she did not even look where she was going until she ran into Michael who was leaning at the entrance of the kitchen 

She looked up to see Michael smiling at her, she tried to move back a little since she was in his space but Michael held her 

Hi, he whispered softly

Jessie legs nearly lost it's balance if not for Michael who held her strongly, she could feel his breath on her skin 

They were standing so close that if she move an inch forward their lips would meet 

She swallowed hard, as she tried to focus her attention on Michael's face instead of his lips 

I came to get water, Jessie said 

Obviously, he saw you, Jessie said to herself 

Yes, you saw me right, Jessie asked stupidly

You were here so....

I um .....

i guess,...

i just um, I mean 

Jessie curse softly as she struggle to form a sentence, the close proximity between them is not making her think properly 

Are you okay? Michael asked softly 

How can I be when all I want to do right now is to lean down and  kiss you, Jessie said to herself 

Yes, I'm fine, Jessie finally answered 

Michael smiled as he used his fingers to push back the hair that was covering Jessie's face 

"You are beautiful" Michael said softly as he lean closer to Jessie 

Jessie's heart was beating very fast, 

What the hell did he think he is doing? She asked herself 

Michael's eye's roam around her face and it settled on her lips which made her hold her breath 

Is he going to kiss me? 

Michael lean closer, making Jessie's lips to part slightly 

Michael, she whispered softly 

Michael glanced at her briefly before his eyes went back to her lips but before he could take another step they heard footsteps coming which made them to to separate immediately 

They both turn to see Elena standing still and watching the two of them 

Michael smiled softly at Elena before he left the Kitchen 

Jessie expected Elena to lecture her about Michael having a soulmate somewhere but instead she smiled widely at her which confuse her 

Hey, would you john me to prepare dinner, Elena asked 

I did not even think before I ask, I guess you might be tired, Elena said 

No it's fine, I'm really not that tired, Jessie reassured Elena 

Good, Elena said cheerful 

When they were preparing the dinner, Jessie thought Elena would bring up what happened between herself and Michael because she was certain Elena saw then standing close but to her surprise Elena did not say anything instead they both chat about random things .

I nearly kissed her, Michael muttered With a smile 

He made his way upstairs wanting to discuss something with Raguel but stop when he heard a soft whimper coming from Jessie's room 

He quietly pushed the door open and saw Jessie's sister laying on the bed with tears in her eyes, 

She is still sleeping, Michael said to himself, he wanted to go downstairs and inform Jessie but decided against it

he moved quietly to the bed and shake her softly but she jumped out of the bed and land in the ground 

Are you okay? Michael asked softly as he made an attempt to move closer to Jessie's sister who moved backward immediately Michael took a step 

I won't hurt you, Michael said reassuring her 

I'm your sister's friend, Michael said softly, I was there when you were rescue, do you remember, he asked 

Sunshine slowly nodded her head as she stood up from the ground but she still left enough space between herself and Michael 

Come sit down, Michael said as he gave her enough room to pass 

Immediately she sat down Michael went to stand at the other corner of the room seeing that sunshine was not yet comfortable in his presence 

Where is  my sister? Sunshine asked quietly 

She is helping to cook dinner, Michael answered 

I guess you are hungry? Michael asked 

Yes, sunshine answered 

They both remain quiet not knowing what to say to each other 

What's your name? Sunshine asked 

"Michael", 

Sunshine nodded her head and remained quiet

Where you having a bad dream? Michael asked 

Sunshine nodded her head, I don't want to talk about it, she added 

Sure, Michael said 

I will leave you now to rest Michael said as he attempt to leave 

Wait! Sunshine quickly said 

Stay with me, she requested 

Michael smile softly 

Sure, he said as sat down on the chair that was in the room

I will go get my sister, Jessie said after they finish preparing dinner 

Okay, Elena replied 

Jessie quickly went to her room but when she opened the door she was very surprise to see Michael talking with her sister 

Hey, Michael said noticing Jessie 

Hi, Jessie replied and entered the room properly,

she immediately went to sit with her sister 

How are you? She asked 

Good, sunshine said 

I'm sure you are hungry, Jessie said making sunshine to nod her head 

Let's go downstairs, Jessie said standing up and pulling her sister with her 

Michael also stood up and he lead the way 

When they arrived downstairs, sunshine immediately hid at the back of her sister seeing strange faces really made her scared 

It's okay sunshine, they  are friend's Jessie said softly 

"Family" michael corrected as he bend down to Sunshine's height 

We are your family, Michael said softly to sunshine 

We will take care of you and also protect you from the bad guys Michael added 

Promise, sunshine said as she held out her hand 

Promise, Michael said placing his hand on her's and lead her to the dinning table 

Jessie was standing still, she held back the tears that was threatening to fall 

He called us family, she said to herself 

Are you joining us? Michael asked pulling Jessie out of her thought 

She smiled softly at him and made her way to the dinning table and sat next to her sister 

Everything around her really felt good at this moment
