I sat at the dining, in a delicate silk gown, my shoes were tapping in a rapid rhythm.. nervously...God I was so agitated and nervous at the same time.

Not every time you get a chance to  re-live a past life and worse, you found out something no one hadn't even thought. Marriage!

Where did that even come from? How did it happen? Didn't Lucinda say I made a wrong choice? Isn't it too late now if he is to be my wrong choice?

I sighed and sighed till I couldn't sigh any longer. It was chilly but I was sweating..and each time I wiped my  forehead  with the back of my hand which was adorned with expensive rings and beads . After she told me about the marriage and she was looking at me with fear of me being crazy, I decided not to ask any question but crap! I deserved some answers. Later that morning two of my ladies-in-waiting had come to take my bathe and dress me up. Now I was wearing all those long tube gowns like Ngozi Ezeonu would wear whenever she was acting queen and my neck was not having a breathing space either. My heart was beating rapidly and I could tell the two ladies dressing me up were terrified , wondering if probably they had done something wrong but I had given them a reassuring smile which must have even made them even more comfortable

The table was already set, it was a long table that could accommodate at least ten people. Delicacies were covered in beautiful silver containers  which were set at the  front of just two seats, Bree had pulled my seat for me which seemed far away from the other seat, both were at the edges of the table, Bree stood behind me  as I sat down and awaited the other...my husband.

Two guards came in first, bowed slightly to me and chorused "My princess" then stood behind his chair ,my heart was beating so fast I feared I was going to have a stroke, What was I to do? Do I welcome him in a loving embrace? Would he kiss me? Would I kiss him back.....

Soon, he entered, I couldn't look at him..I just couldn't, he took off his hat and handed it to one of the guards while the other pulled out a seat for him and he sat down..right in front of me. He was dressed in a long glowing George robe, and on his neck were beautiful ornamentals. He didn't even acknowledge me. What a perfect marriage!

Immediately, he sat down, he opened the dishes and one of the men  assisted  him . Just then, Bree also began to dish out my food. It was so quiet except for the clattering of plates and cutlery.  I wasn't nervous anymore but now I was  feeling uncomfortable  and perhaps it was the piece of clothing around Bree 's neck which dangled in front of me as she slightly bent to dish out the food, or perhaps it was something else  that distracted me but then I caught his face and my heart must have probably stopped beating.

He was tall and his full hair was jerry curled.  . A Roman nose in between two eyes which were looking down. His dark brows were actually graceful but currently furrowed in a frown.  His eyelashes were thick while  his short sharp lips were attractive and captivating with a glint of pink. A prominent jaw curved gracefully around and the strength of his neck showed in the twining cords of muscle that shaped his entire body. He looked up and then I saw his eyes..his eyes..were deep and catastrophic and  I was drowning in them when it hit me,......He was looking at me ...giving me an hostile glare...!

I looked away and flushed in a great embarrassment, I have never been this embarrassed in my entire life or lives depending on how much I've lived.

He had giving me such a cold glare..I could feel hatred burnt inside of me ..still burning...I felt so hot all over I could not stop myself from trembling as the look haunted me.

I tried not to loose my appetite , the food was really delicious, all I could recognize were some lettuce, some chicken, some rice and some other things I couldn't name.

. He finished his food before I could and he left quietly just as he had come.

I needed help if I have to do a lot of things I needed to understand what was happening in this place.

I turned to Bree, I really didn't care if she thinks i'm crazy.

"Why is it that myself and my husband don't talk?"

She looked at me again with that crazy look and fear.

"I..i dunno your highness."

Okay,maybe I needed to turn this up one notch..

"Sit down Bree"  I ordered her and she did reluctantly.

"Are you afraid of me?"

She gasped and nodded.

"Have I done anything to hurt you before?"

I could see her chest rising and falling...oh dear..the poor woman would have a stroke..

"I'm not gonna hurt you Bree, please just relax okay?"

She nodded but she wasn't relaxing.

"Okay, I've you eaten?" I asked and she shook her head.

"WHy not?"

"I would eat after you have eaten"

"Nonsense, take a spoon and eat with me"

"No thank You your highness" She replied,still afraid.

This is getting annoying..I didn't have time for this...

"Bree..I command you to take that spoon and eat with me!"

She immediately grabbed a spoon and took a plate for herself.

I sighed and watched as she ate hurriedly and I smiled.

"Bree, I know I've been a terrible person to all of you but would you be happy if I change?"

She said nothing and then turned to me as I gave her a sweet smile and she nodded slightly.

"I need your help to do that Bree. Would you help me? So we can all live happily?"

She nodded again, relaxing a bit.

"I had a bad dream last night Bree and I know I have been so awful to all of you so i want to change and if I will change , you would help me since I want you to be very close to me."

She nodded again and I took her had warmly into mine.

"I will be asking you some questions that may sound so strange but please just see it as if this is a new me who wants to change and my old life has faded and I need information to balance things up in a better way. Would you help me?"

She smiled a little bit and nodded.

"You are really pretty Bree, you need to smile more often"

SHe smiled more.

"So now tell me how many maids are in this place?"

"Like ten or more. "

"They all fear me right?"

She nodded quickly.

"Does my husband fear me too?"

She seemed taken aback by that and I knew I was about to lose her so I changed the question.

"Do you have a family?"

She shook her head.

"How old are you?"

"23" She replied.

"Bree-is shortened for what?"

"Bree-chinga Anna Nkechi" She replied and I smiled as I remembered Anna.

"You mind if I call you ?"

Her smile deepened. "My mother used to call me that"

"Good. We are going to be great friends"

"Your mother also calls me that?"

"Excuse me?" I frowned.

"Your mother..."

I gasped.

"Are you saying my mother is alive?"

She nodded.

I was shocked and excited at the same time..

"Can you take me to her?"

She seemed surprised. "Really?"

"WHy did you say really?"

"Because, you stopped visiting your mother ever since you were married off and you told her not to come visit you and she is very sick now and you have never gone to visit "

Bad !bad! awful! Kathia!

"Please Anna, take me to her now"

Alright people, not only did Kathia find out she has a husband, she also gets to know that she has a terrible marriage and that her mother is alive. A mother she has never known.
