She Did It - Episode 19

After the greetings, they all sat on a table at the centre. Bimpe was fixated at her phone, typed and scrolled through while Sheila was taking pictures with different poses. Tola was sitting, gazing and lost in activities that was going on. She was fascinated by talks and all sort.

The event officially started 1:15PM. It was half an hour after they had arrived. The sitting room was boisterous, the fun, music, different kinds of food, prayers and Nicole's votes of thanks warmed their hearts. It ended, and everybody went home.

Bolanle while in her office, made up her mind to visit the inspector of Police to lay down her findings. 

The next day, she woke up, performed her morning rituals, and was ready. She drove off as usual. It was less than thirty minutes drive. The road was free of congestion.

"Good day, Sir", Bolanle said after she had entered Inspector General's office.

"Good day, the strong hearted lady", he said with a beaming smile baring his dimples. Bolanle came close and gave him her findings contained in a white file.

"This is good. So, what's your conclusion on the investigation.", he asked.

"The crime was committed by the man who left the apartment and masterminded by Bimpe", Bolanle said.

"Bimpe? Who is that?", he asked again.

"Sheila's friend", Bolanle replied.

"Wait, this all makes sense now", Bolanle continued. Inspector General fixated his eyes on her.

"Yes, I think I still need Dominique to perfect my findings

. You know Mr. John spoke to Sheila that evening he was murdered? I already deducted it from his call history. It could have been that she left her phone with Bimpe in the car", Bolanle said.

"Hmm, these all add up now. But why would Sheila's friend kill her man for her? It doesn't add up, except Sheila is an accomplice", he said.

Don't worry, I know what to do. Just leave it for me", Bolanle said and dashed out of the office.

Throughout her journey home, while driving, she was crying. She made some traffic errors till she got to her house. She entered the house, used a disposable cup and poured water from Cway into it. She sat on the sofa, kept drinking the water as drops of tears trickled down her cheeks. 

Before the death of John, they started having an affair. Shared some romantic moments together. They were planning on getting down legally after they are done with unravelling the crime. She promised herself that she would get to the root and apex of this crime case after the love of her life was murdered in it. It will not cost her anything, but death which doesn't scare her anymore, she vouch to herself.

After everything, she entered her room and pulled off cloths she was wearing, entered the bathroom and took her bath. She wanted to sleep, but it wasn't forthcoming.

. She picked up her phone and put a call through Dominique.

"Hello, Ms Bolanle", Dominique said with a voice which Bolanle assumed to be a smiling one.

"Hello, how are you?", Bolanle asked.

"I am good", Dominique replied in an expectant of a good news, afterward.

"When will you be free? I will appreciate if mum and dad come along with you? I have a finding and some questions to ask", Bolanle said.

"Oh, okay. I'm free tomorrow. And mum and dad should be free too. I will confirm from them", Dominique said.

"Thank you", Bolanle said and hung the call. She started soliloquizing, "I need to get some things off my chest". And who could that murderer be? I mean the male killer? A thought pertaining Sheila popped and raced through her mind.

"Well, after I'm done with the Coker's, I think I should invite Sheila over. I just hope she is not an accomplice but I can handle whatever comes out in and after it".

She immediately slept off when she laid her head on the sofa, and not after her sleep, she was awoken by a scary dream. She saw, John doing something she could not explain. It was some unimaginable non-explainable things. She couldn't have an afternoon nap anymore. She settled with watching crime station on her DSTV channel till it's dusk.
