The God And His Bride - Episode 33

I pull my chin out of the hand of the guy who's trying to look into my eyes, I would have spat on him if they hadn't tied my mouth.

"You look a beauty in your husband's house, pity that it isn't under better circumstances" Says golden guy and I try to kill him with my glare.

"Your eyes are marvelous, now that you are in your element, none of those human nonsensical eyes of before, now you look like a god, pity that you will have to die."

My heart clenches.

I'm going to die? Alixi where are you?

"Stop it Tajiki, you know Alixi will be here soon, be prepared" The other god sitting in the throne says, I don't know him but I heard golden guy call him Nero.

I look around the room, the very big room, other winged people are around, over there in the corner are some winged and robed fellows who Tajiki referred to as the council.

This room I'm in screams male and if it was another time and in better circumstances I would have enjoyed the novelty of being in Alixi's rooms.

Not now, now I'm wondering how sad it is I'm gonna die without actually listening to my heart and telling Alixi that I love him.

How crazy is it that I would realise my true feelings while staring death in it's face? What I feel for Jeter is there but my feelings for Alixi is more, more than I can comprehend, when I try to remember all those times and things he did for me, my heart feels full to bursting.

Something bursts, not my heart but the massive doors bursts open.

Standing there is Alixi and.. And Jeter and is that Mila?

They look like avenging angels or grim reapers, Alixi's eyes comes to me for a moment before settling on the guy sitting on his throne, the throne I'm currently sitting at the foot of. 

"Is there a reason you are sitting on my throne Nero?"

"The council has made a unanimous decision, they have decided to make me the god of gods."

The people in the room tune in and I get the vibe that they aren't really on any sides, just depends on who wins this round.

"Really? I did not get the memo, which part of it says you must kidnap my bride?"

"Well, we decided to do things a little differently as you can see, since she is God, we have decided that she must pay for her transgressions"

Tajiki says and my head whips to him.

Transgressions? What transgressions? What did I do?

"The same transgressions that made me take a human body? Is it the transgressions that I took for her? The one where I paid for her sins?"

He questions and I blink, he paid for my sin? Even the ones I didn't know I committed?

"Well, we decided that you are free from paying them now, every god for himself, she must pay for it herself"

"Who are this 'we' you speak about?" He says, his eyes going to the robed fellows and they bow their heads, he looks towards the other gods and they step back, heads bowed.

His eyes goes back to Nero, he would have raised his eyebrows if he was that type of person.

Nero looks to Tajiki, knowing he's on his way to loosing this round.

Alixi already knows he has won because he begins to walk forward.

"You took my bride, ruined the home of my brother, beat around the goddess Milo, invaded my home, made my people afraid, sit on my throne, you did all this without a game plan? You insult me Nero" He says the last part right in front of Nero, I must admit that Nero is one willed god because he does not blink in the face of Alixi's fury, Alixi waves a hand and my constraints vanish, Jeter is there, picking me up.

My eyes goes to Alixi to see him, to really see him, he's not a boy, he's not a man, he's a god, all through.

He picks up Nero, turning to deposit him at the foot of the throne before raising his hand, a sword appears.

"Let me give you a chance to redeem yourself" Alixi says and before I can scream to tell him to watch out, Tajiki swings from besides him.

I needn't have bothered, Alixi blocks the blow of the sword.

Nero charges at him from the other side and I scream, my heart in my mouth, again, I need not have bothered because Alixi is gone, super fast he's behind Tajiki who receives the blow from Nero's sword.

The whole room becomes silent..

I watch as Nero freezes, his grip loosening on the blade as it falls to the ground.

Alixi does not waste a moment, he's behind Nero, clipping his wings with one swing of his sword, the room gasps

. I gasp.

Nero groans..

Alixi turns to the room in general.

"Let this be a warning to all who think to cross me" He says with quiet menace.

"Nero, you are banished from this realm for a thousand times five thousand years without your powers, you will be forever known as the scorned one" He says.

"That's a light punishment" Mila whispers in my ear.

A thousand times five thousand years is a light punishment?

"I was banished for ten thousand times ten thousand years" Jeter whispers in my ear.

Jeez.. What havoc did he wreck to deserve that?

"He stole Alixi's last blessed" Mila says again before going back to the proceedings in front of him.

"Tajiki, you are banished from this realm for a thousand times five thousand years, without your powers, you will forever be known as the wretched" He says before turning his back on them, dismissing them, everybody. 

They all slowly disappear or fly out in turn as the show ends. 

Nero and Tajiki are taken out by guys who look like the hulk

Right in front of me blood and gore of the day vanishes. 

I begin to take a step towards his throne when he lifts a hand. 

"Milo, you will take her back home, finish whatever you have to in the realm of the humans and come back home" He says. 

"Lucc, your punishment is lifted, you will be  reinstated as soon as you prove yourself" He says, I wait, but nothing comes, nothing at all. 

Mila gently grabs me at my waist and as soon as she does I sink into the darkness. 

Even as she sets me on my feet in my room at home, I refuse to admit how much it hursts that Alixi refused to look at me.
