Three years later

Emmanuel:

Tessy and i waited three years to finish our university degrees

before getting married.I even transferred to Nigeria to finish my

course so i would be close to my heart.Finally, i get to say i do.Its

my wedding day and i am jittery with nerves. I stand in front of the

mirror and re-position my tie for the hundredth time.

"relax bro, your tie is perfect."prosper says

"its not. Everything should be more than perfect today, for tessy.What

if tessy doesn't like it?" i ask frowning at the innocent tie

"Then she could just leave you at the altar and marry me" he says grinning

"not a chance" i look at him in warning and he just grins and raise

his hands in surrender.

"she's all yours bro" he says goodnaturedly. There is a knock on the

door and sonia walks in heavy with pregnancy. She walks to prosper's

side.

"baby are you guys done?. Tessy is ready"

"i have been ready for hours but this guy here is just so confused

over a tie" prosper says laughing at me. I swath my hand at him and he

hides behind sonia.

"you wouldn't hit my pregnant wife, would you?" he asks grinning.

"ofcourse not!

. Why would you think that?" i say offended.

"calm down Manuel. You are even more emotional than me today. No

matter what you wear, tessy would marry you. She loves you and you

love her, that's all that matters. You guys have been through alot and

you overcame it all so a tie won't deter your marriage" sonia says

then squeeze my hand.

"awwn, my wife is so wise" prosper says and kiss her neck from behind.

Sonia blushes and i roll my eyes.

"hey, lover birds, today is my day so pack it in. No other couple is

allowed romance today" i say and prosper flips me his middle finger.

Sonia laughs and walk out of the room.

. They are so in love and i am

happy for them. Sonia came to Nigeria three years ago in search of me

and when she saw that i was already engaged, she practically lost it.

She had gone to tessy's house to rant and that was when she saw

prosper. Prosper had just been released after the court ruled him

innocent of all charges and he had gone to make up with tessy.

According to tessy, Prosper had gotten mad at sonia for shouting at

tessy and they had a heated conversation. Tessy and i tried to

reconcile them as they were both our friends and they had gotten

together after that and now, they are married.

Thirty minutes later, i am at the altar saying i do to my beautiful

bride. I wish my dad was here. Olivia looks stunning in her cute

little gown as she presents the rings to us. I take tessy's ring and

hold her left hand in mine.

"tessy, during my years in London, i thought about you and even though

i only remembered us fighting, it always made me happy. Thank you for

loving me and i promise to love you even after the last breathe leaves

my body. I love you"

"i love you too"she whispers A tear slide down tessy's cheek and i

kiss it away, then slide the ring onto her finger. She takes mine and

do the same.Then we kiss. Soft and tender.
