Twisted Twice, Twisted Mine - Episode 21

Adeline.

It's raining outside and I'm standing by the window, wondering how I'm gonna go about telling Levi that I'm a phony.

I enjoyed today, I really did and I feel wistful thinking that this is probably the last of good days I will have with Levi.

I feel him enter the room and I don't turn, I'm enjoying the way the rain beats at the window.

"Will you look at me?" He asks and I turn slowly.

He knows.

He knows that something is up, he isn't asking because he trusts me to tell him in my own time.

He steps towards me and I stand still, he turns me around to look out the window and we stay like that.

" How was London?"I ask

"Shh" he says and I quieten.

He dips his face into my neck and I bend it to give him access.

"I got you a present" He says and I feel warmth envelope me.

"What did you get?"

"A phone, I want to be able to reach you at all times"

"That was thoughtful" I say and he nods.

"Did you call your parents while I was away?"

I nod noncommittaly and he settles.

"Levi..." I begin but he shakes his head, lifting his head from my neck.

"Tell me when you feel like, yeah?"

"Yeah"

"I love you" He says softly and I smile into the darkness.

I turn around and I lift my head to look up at him and he looks down at me. I lift myself on my toes and he meets halfway.

He kisses me and I kiss him back, he lifts me from the ground and my legs wrap around his waist.

He walks back to the bed before gently laying me down. 

"I'm not going to stop this time Addie" I nod slowly and he nods back before helping me off my top. 

"I love you" He says and I nod. 

"I love you too, please remember that Levi" I say and he kisses me. 

That effectively took my mind off everything else.

"Wake up! Wake up!" I push at his shoulder and he groans rolling off the bed to land on the ground. 

"What the hell?" He says softly and I climb on top him shoving my face in his. 

"Good morning to you too hyper sunshine" He says with a tired smile. 

"You can't be tired, you just woke up, there are things to do, places to explore!" 

"Just let me get 1 more hour of sleep, yeah?" He says, pulling me so I can rest on his chest. 

I bounce back up, I have just 6 days with him, I'm not wasting it by sleeping. 

"Nope, no sleep, wake up" 

"Addie..." 

"Please baby" I say softly and he sighs, raising himself on his arms. 

"What do you want to do?" He asks

. I produce a piece of paper from my back. 

He raises an eye brow. 

"You made a list?" 

I nod happily and he takes in my happy face and he smiles. 

"Can I atleast get a good morning kiss? Don't I deserve that much" 

I peck his lip. 

"Now get up" I say. 

"You have to actually get up first before I can" Oh, right. 

I stand and so does he. 

"What's first on your list?" 

"Umm, prepare breakfast together, thats the second actually, the first is ride on horse back but I have to eat first" 

He looks surprised and I punch his arm. "Let's get going!" He nods. 

I'm sure the upper most thought on his mind is what he got himself into. 

We do almost everything on the list, from breakfast to playing chess. 

When we finally catch a break he holds me back from throwing myself at Aaron who is blowing a raspberry at me. 

"Settle" He says in a tone I've never heard and that gets me to turn. 

"What's wrong?" I ask and he searches my eyes closely. 

"You know you are never leaving me right?" He says slowly with anger and my heart skips. 

"What makes you th.." 

"I'm going to find you even to the ends of the earth Adélie, I'm going to if you take one step out of my vision" He says and my heart breaks at him calling me the name of his future wife but still I nod. 

I know he meant me and that makes me happy but still. 

He pulls my back to his front as we stand on the balcony looking over the garden as the sun sets. 

Aaron clears his throat and I know he heard every word of what Levi said and I can't help but be afraid. 

Afraid that my time with him is shortened. 

Aaron knows and I know too, no need in lying to myself. 

"Since I granted all of your wish today don't you think it's time you granted one of mine?" 

He says in my ear and I nod. 

"What do you want? I will make it happen" 

"Let's go someplace" 

"Where?" I ask.

"A beach?" He says, in question. 

"Sure?" I ask. 

"Yeah" he affirms, "Tomorrow" He says again and I nod. 

Seems like we have a beach run tomorrow, all I have to pray for is fine weather. 

AN. 

I want rain!!! 

My best part of the year is the wet season, I laaaaaav it. 

It's been drizzling over here and I've been expecting a big rain but no show. 

I really want rain to fall, I love all that scent of dust and wetness. 

Don't judge me.
