Like a rainbow after a storm suddenly appears, hope to all to bring
So came the news of your death, suddenly but unlike the rainbow no hope it brought
Like a falling star in a dark night, seen now and gone the next so you where here and then gone too soon.
24 years like the wind by has gone yet still for you I seek,
A wish to wake and realise a bad dream it all was I hope
But alas! Days turned weeks and weeks months and months years
Your little ones now adults and still you ain't coming back 24 years and but for a little joy she seeks but alas!
One by one the news of their death she hears - uncle and aunty; their funeral ceremonies she graces as they by you are laid.
Oh death, how cruel could you be that all her dear ones you have taken and but with memories her leave.
Uncle, you loved so dearly that the day you passed on, he seized to live and for death prayed.
Aunty your memories lived as with teary eyes she'd narrate.
24 years and the hands of death all have taken save one, who for death would wish that at rest she'd be and by ur sides she'd lay.
Death oh death truly grt you are for any your hands can reach and an excuse non can offer.
24 year gone by and still my hurt fresh is.
