Ode To The Fallen Lasuites

Death they say is an inevitable journey,
That we will all embark on,
A journey of no return,
But young death we want no more,
Ever wondered the smile on a fresher's face,
Happy to step into the abode of a great university,
With the determination of studying to excel,
Matriculation gown worn with pride,
Burning the midnight candles to pass the exams with flying colours,
Enduring the cold weather ,
And the vampire mosquitoes who never cease to suck blood,
Low and behold the tragic death of some lasuites who fought,
And work hard but yet couldn't reap the fruit of their labour,
Death why have no shame ,
Because of your uncontrolled hunger,
You decided to feed on these heros,
LASUITES, let's pray for them in our hearts,
Remember, we might have been the ones in their shoes,
To my friend Oyinlola, you will forever remain in my heart,
Death might separate but can never erase the moments we had,
To Ambode of FMS, you have struggled to earn a first class degree,
Such distinction would never be erased in Lasu.
Rest on fellow LASUITES who had lost their lives,
We love you but God loves you more.
