Chioma - Episode 26

FLASHBACK**

.....Chioma doesn't want to go for surgery, what will I do?, Maggie asked her client and friend, Julian as she pace around the small room she had turned  to her office in the house, Chioma was asleep and  her husband wasn't around, Julian approached her for her to handle everything on her building (law firm ) and she looked the most  perfect candidate to help her out, how could a lady of 22 years still dread undergoing surgery that would be of her benefit, anytime Chioma is told to comply and go for surgery, she does something stupid,s he may go under the bed or hide in her wardrobe or just behave insane  and hurtful and that disturbed her, her husband had seen a good doctor, Dr Richard but even hearing Dr Richards voice, didn't change Chiomas mind.

Julian, what do you propose I do? she asked after narrating the sad story to her friend,Julian smiled"I'm very sorry about Chioma, but you could try one thing....

What?

She's 22, and young, entice her with a love life, give her an imaginary fiance,t ell her how he is cute and all of that bla bla bla

Maggie laughed but kept quiet when she processed the idea...."Its a good one, but I'm not that good at imagining fiances like I am with buildings

At that Julian rolled her eyeballs"Then use my sons profile as the fiance

Seriously! Maggie exclaimed shock at the favour, but it did work, talking about David to Chioma worked, Maggie loved the smile on her daughters face anytime she heard about David,She looked so happy, she even started trying to talk,and that's when the urge to go for surgery came and she did.

Seven months after a successful surgery, and the first word she said was David......she got enrolled into class and learnt very fast  so as to meet her fiance, and when she returned to Nigeria Cause the surgery and lessons were outside country, all Chioma wanted to do was meet David, it got too much and once again Maggie asked for Julian's advice...

"How do I deal with her, she becomes very aggressive and snobs everyone, I'm really scared she might not take the expensive joke of a fiance fairly

Julian was quiet but from her stare at the ceiling, Maggie knew she was thinking fast, her law firm was in motion, the house was getting to its  beauty,and Maggie was sure ,it would be a billion naira hit, She had even made sure the government couldn't demolish the building,

...."No need to tell her, Margret, a fake marriage would allow your daughter to mature easily, I mean look at her, she's seeing but she still sound like a baby, behaves like one, staying with my son would help her grow up, and she being smart would realise in 2-3wks that David wasn't her dream husband, she would definitely come back home

Are you sure? Maggie asked a bit scared that Julian would not adhere to her promise, Julian nodded and I decided her son as my daughters husband was worth the house I was building for Julian, I used my influence and made that building the most wonderful without getting a kobo from her, that's when she made a deal that as far as that building was hers, David was her fake son in law **"""""

But as Maggie stared at Julian all she saw around her was lies and deceits, she couldn't tell a single truth to any of them, to her, Chioma,Ella and David, she jammed their brains together to get what she wanted.

David  didn't like that white Doctor but he could do nothing right now, if the man was the one that did her first surgery then surely he could get the glass out from her eye, Alfred and Mercy sat holding hands,while he paced around

Dave ,how is she? Mrs Julian asked behind Chiomas mother

"Don't ask me questions,you two are the masterminds behind the circumstance.......

"I'm sorry David,I didn't know it will end up like this. Mrs Julian pleaded walking towards her son but he shifted backwards

Mrs Julian shaded tears of regret, her sin was far away from her in soul body and spirit

......Chioma is the best, your firm is nothing compared to her and if I loose her or my unborn child then......I'm totally done with you

And with that he stormed out to clear the tension.

Mercy helped his mother to calm while Alfred stormed out after his brother, he needed to talk sense into him.
