Falling For Innocence - Episode 28

Amelia:

I can't help but smile through my tears as the taxi take me to my

destination. I bring out the phone which i felt Paul slip into my

pocket. He's probably going to track it and i am going to let him. The

look on his face has given me hope that we could be together again

after all this is over. I want that more than anything so i am going

to accept his help. I just hope he brings the police and not come

alone. As the taxi get close to what i suspect is my destination, i

turn on the phone recorder then slip it under my cap wig. I can't have

luscious finding it. I just have to buy time till the police gets

here.

"Madam we don reach" the taxi driver says then come down to open the

door for me. I get down then slip 5 thousand naira notes into his

hand.

"Do me a favour and tell the police to come here?" i say pointing to

the building that has 22 boldly written on the short fence. He looks

at me with dubious eyes before nodding. This is my last resort. The

police may not listen to him but when jerry calls them too, they would

know something is up. I just hope he goes to them.

The taxi driver give me a short nod then zoom off

I take a deep breathe before walking inside the building. I dont take

more than two steps in before a lanky girl grab me.

"You are late, woman" he says and i scrunch my nose in disgust at his

alcohol and weed laden breathe.

"Am sorry but can you please stop talking so i can breath" i bite out

and he slam his fist into my stomach. I bite my lips to keep from

satisfying the junkie with my screams.

"You hit like a teenage girl" I sneer before spitting on his kind of

cute face. He raises his hand to slap me but stop when Luscious comes

in.

"You are here. Dont pay any attention to what she says. She's all bark

and no bite." Luscious says and burst into laughter.

"You think so? Then watch this!" i sneer then grab the lanky guy before

sinking my teeth unto his dirty ear.

"ouch! Let go b_tch."he bellows

"I'll give five million naira to turn against Luscious" i whisper into

his ear before i let go and spit out the disgusting blood on my

tongue.

"Enough of your antics amelia. Or do you want me to kill Sarah?"

"Why are you doing this luscious. Haven't you done enough damage to my

life? I made you a very rich man remember? Just let us leave without

harm" i plead

"Now why would i go through all these hassle just to let you go just

like that? You have been messing with my business and you know how

much i value it. You have to go together with your daughter. Then that

micheal guy is next" Luscious say then start walking away.

"Search her for any guns. You can't trust this b_tch then bring her

inside" he says over his back to the lanky guy who nod. He starts

moving his disgusting hands over my body, feeling for any weapon. He

finds my phone and is about to throw it when i grab his hand to stop

him.

"Just think what five million would buy. I can transfer it right now

into your account" i whisper. He looks like he is Thinking about my

offer so i keep persuading him.

"What is your account number? Give me my phone and i will send it

right now" i say.

"i am a lot of things but a Judas is not one of them so shut the hell

up" he tells me then continue his body search

"8 million" i say again

"i can't betray Luscious because that would lead to the loss of my

life and that of my whole family."

"Just tell me where my daughter is being kept"

"well there is no harm in telling you that since you can't do anything

anyways so okay. She and the other famous guy are in the back room."

"thank you. What's your account number" i ask then collect my phone and

transfer 1million to his account as he calls it out. This could change

his mind later and the police could track and arraign him if i get

killed tonight.

"Enough of the stalling, move" he push my back and lead me inside.

Atleast my talk of money has distracted him from his task of finding

any weapon on me.

"What took you so long?" Luscious fire at him as we walk in.

"The b_tch attacked me again. Am sorry boss" he apologize and Luscious

just shake his head at him.

"Here is how its going to be. You are going to give me the location of

all my girls you have been hiding from me and I'll give you a quick

death. How does that sound Amelia" Luscious stand in front of me and

grin.

"Go to hell" i grind out and his hand smack my face hard.

"Wrong answer. Now let me ask again and this time think about how you

are going to end up like that girl over there if you answer

wrongly" Luscious says while pointing to a bloody woman lying lifeless

on the floor in a corner of the room. Oh my God, is she dead? How can

a man be so despicable? My anger overtake me and i attack Luscious.

"You are an animal! You pig!" i scream and scratch his eyes and face.

Luscious manage to get me under control then grab my hair. My wig come

off and luscious catches paul's phone which falls from my wig just

before it hit the ground. He looks at the screen and see that

everything has been recorded.

"oops am so sorry, i just deleted it."he says after clicking on some

things on the phone.

"You are going to regret trying to fool me Amelia" he continues.

"Pascal, take the bomb to the room with those two people and get rid

of this stupid phone. Make sure you destroy it without hope of

restoration." he says to the goon who collects the phone and leave the

room.

"I have had enough of this Amelia. You are going to give me the

information i need or you are going to watch me blow your daughter and

her lover away just before i cut every part of your body bit by bit.

You have five minutes" he says.

"tick tock tick tock. The time is ticking and soon, boom!" he taunts

and i can feel sweat run down my back.
