FIONA
The music was so loud it was making my skin tingle. Noah asked me several times to dance together but I gracefully declined. Later, he gave up and we just sat down at the balcony, others were inside.
Something has been bothering me ever since two days ago so I just thought I should say it out.
“Noah, how did you know I could sew?”
The question must have gotten him off guard.
“What do you mean?”
I turned to face him. “I mean, you asked me if I wanted to mend the cloth and I told you I couldn’t , later, it so happened I could sew perfectly. How come? Also, with the way you sat on the stool, it was so unprofessional, you have never handled a sewing machine before or have you?”
He ran a hand through his hair and faced me directly.
“Babe, the truth is, ever since I learnt of your memory loss, I never wanted anything else but to help you recover. That machine was my sisters, I never had any idea of your ability to sew

I eyed him suspiciously but I decided to believe him, afterall he has never known me from anywhere.
“Well, I guess you are right, after all, Nick heard when I said I mended the cloth and he never asked how, so I guess it’s a normal thing like cooking.”
He nodded and then took my hand in his. “So when do you want to tell Nick?”
“About moving in with you?”
He nodded.
“I guess tonight.”
“Well. Let me excuse you both then ,. I can see him coming.”
I felt my tommy fluttered as I sighted Nick.Even in the dim light, the diamond on his ear lobes glittered. How could someone be this fine? Sometimes it made my heart stop. I definitely hoped he didn’t know what I was thinking.
“Hi Fi. I hope Noah didn’t run because of me.” He started, taking Noah’seat.
I chuckled as his cologne filled my lungs. We didn’t say anything but just sitting with him seemed as if we were having the best conversation.
I began to debate on how to break the silence. Why was it so awkward to tell him I would be leaving? I remembered the way he had looked at me earlier today, my heart practically stopped beating, everyone in the background seemed to float away , remaining the both of us…just like now.
“So…” He started. I could tell he was even finding it more difficult to talk than I was. 
What was happening?
“So you haven’t told me your age yet Nick.” I quickly put in.
He smiled.

. “You want to know if you would have to be addressing me with more respect?”
I laughed out. “You are so full of yourself, Nick.”
“Well, I am just thirty-three so, you may not use ‘sir’ for me. I am a very humble person.” He teased further.
I scoffed, hissed and shook my head. “You are unbelievable.”
He later laughed and then more silence. 
“So when do you plan to settle down with Yvonne?” I asked before I could stop myself.
He smiled. “Why would you think I want to settle down with her?”
Okay, I was feeling heat all over. Why was this guy having so much effect on me?
“Well..I..i..well…..” Damn it! Why was I stuttering?
“I just thought…you know, you both  would tie the knot soon.” I managed to say finally.
“I can’t be sure.” He continued, now facing me, I could practically sense our heart beating simultaneously. 
“Why can’t you?” I demanded, we were starring at each other now.
“Because…” He began in a husky voice. I was filled with both fear and excitement as he leaned closer. “Because I think I can see the light in the eyes of another….”
His gaze was on my lips now and we were inches apart. His breathing quickened as did mine.  I knew we were going to kiss, I could feel moisture on my forehead, I felt the urge to push away but instead, I parted my lips as his lips brushed mine. At first, it was a delicate butterfly of a  kiss and just as I wanted to savor the moment, I could sense the beating of another heart and it was faster than ours so I pulled away instantly.
Someone was watching us and I knew who it was.
“I am so sorry Nick, That , that was a mistake.”
