Finding Solace - Episode 21

I had to clarify something please. Urm…I posted the other episode while half awake, so there was an error regarding Noah’s POV, the error was just the usage of both ‘he’ and ‘I’.
Also, dear readers, please note that when Fiona left, it was 11th of the month. So she was still in the midnight between 11 and 12. Do we understand? 
Alright, let’s go.
 

FIONA
<i>This time, I could see the men clearly, the both of them. I couldn’t actually place where we were but I knew I was surrounded. The shorter one sniggered at me. He was the one who has been haunting me all the while.
“Would you cry, bitch?” He snarled, rage fizzing through me like wildfire. The other was getting his weapon ready, I knew three cuts of that into my blood would be the end of me. I was surrounded by them , I needed to escape.
The taller man moved closer and I shrank further back, that was when I realized I also had a blade in my hand. They were closing in on me and just as I lifted my blade to strike one of them, a sharp pain lanced through my arm and I made the strangest noise I have ever heard in my life……… <i>
I woke up. ..............................

. My heart was still pounding and my ears were vibrating.  Gradually it began to dawn on me that it was a dream and I was okay but I wasn't. I could feel moisture all over my face and my blanket was soaked in fresh sweat. I quickly glanced at my arm, thankfully it was not scratched. My  throat itched terribly and I desperately wished I was back home.
Everywhere was quiet except for the chirping of the insects. That was when I realized there was no moonlight, instead, the stars illuminated the sky, how could the stars make me see everywhere so bright? Probably I was still dreaming.
I folded my feet, they were beginning to get cold but I wasn’t cold. I checked the time on the phone-2;00 A.M. 
Then I heard the sound, as if someone was walking but quietly for me not to notice. I could sense the short breath at interval. I stood up, my heart pounding, and then fear enveloped me as I felt a presence. To my shock and relief, it was Noah. For the first time, I was really happy to see him but still…what was he doing here?
“Noah? What are you doing here? How did you find me?” I asked.
He smiled, clasping a hand behind his back. “I see that you and the darkness are getting along.”
“What do you mean? Why are you here? Why are you not carrying any light. What is going on?”
He chuckled and stepped closer.
“What did you dream of?” He asked gently.
That actually shocked the hell out of me. How did he know I was dreaming.
“Wait. Noah, what is going on? Please tell me.” I pleaded.
He maintained a fixed glance and asked. “Were you attacked in your dream?”
Noah definitely knew what was going on with me and he deliberately kept asking me questions.
I gritted my teeth, my fists clenching and I walked closer to him, stressing each word. “I..Demand, That, You, Tell, Me, What Is Going On ,Right now!” By the time I finished the sentence, we were just inches apart. Instead he studied me with a hand under his chin.
“It’s good that the darkness is fuelling you but, you are not there yet. You are still the little scared Fiona that you are. With no memory of who you are. No family, no purpose, no power, no name..NOBODY! That is who you are!”
Burning rage hissed through my body like deathly poison, screeching a demanded release in the form of unwanted violence. It was like a volcano erupting; fury was sweeping off me like ferocious waves. The wrath consumed like, engulfing my moralities and destroying the boundaries of friendship and loyalty…I leapt at him with all my might.
But with one hand, he quickly clasped both my hands to my back, and the next thing I was on my knees, shaking in anger and frustration which was so overwhelming I burst into tears.
“What is happening to me! Why am I so angry?” I cried. 
NOAH
I almost laughed at her. She was just too pathetic and yet she is not strong. Not even close. I watched her in interest as she cried. She was too weak. Alas! How the mighty had fallen.
I released my grip on her and she fell forward.
“You do not have much time. We need to leave this place.”
She regained her composure and stared at me. 
“Noah, what time?”
“I will tell you everything once I take you somewhere safe.”
She stood up, “No, I am not going anywhere until you tell me what is going on! ”
That I actually admired. She was still as stubborn and defiant. I knew what I needed to do to make her comply however I would still need to get rid of the body of the private detective Yvonne had hired to follow her ever since she left the house the other day. She wanted to make sure that she stayed far away.
“Have you been watching me all these while?” She asked again.
“Yes. I have.

FIONA
I must have heard wrongly. This wasn’t making any sense. Was Noah confessing to having known me all the while?
I could barely lift a leg, how could I trust him. Nick had been so right about him.
“So you knew me all this while?” I asked almost in a whimper.
He said nothing; he looked to be in haste. 
“SO you came here purposely for me?”
He gave no reply too.
“What do you mean by pack and hunters and ….”
Before I could finish, I felt myself grow weak in the legs and I collapsed. I was more confused but that was when I saw him holding his index finger up and there was blood on it. I knew that sight and smell of his blood had weakened me. I wanted to protest as he got closer…but instead, I drifted into nothingness.

Lol, I’m sure some of you are wondering, where the hell is Tobi taking us to? Lol, don’t worry, you are still on planet earth. Just that, this is a story that is different from all you are used to.
Okay, we are getting so close…
Also, hope we understood, Yvonne had hired a detective to follow Fiona and somehow, Noah had killed him. We would have known that but I do not want to include Yvonne’s POV, don’t want it to be crowded.
