Forever, Mitchell - Episode 13

Sands of time? Pfft... What time?

I'm sitting besides Gina's bed in the hospital, since she got her heart device she's been getting more bad days than good. 

I've had to let her stay at the hospital, it's the sole reason I've not been able to get us an apartment. 

I poke softly at my face and I wince at the tightness, I've got a shiner from where Wallace had punched me last night. 

I'm grateful nothing broke. 

I've taken today off because I can't bear to see Tyler, I'm scared Xavier will be there waiting for me. 

Last night after he made his proclamation, madam K had come out from nowhere to drag me away so I don't really know what happened. 

But I heard from Katie that Wallace had stormed out after Xavier had refused to punish Tyler or Bryant. 

I hope everything turns out alright. 

I'm going to resign from my job, I've passed my six months mark, the risk attached is now exponentially larger than the pay. 

I can get more jobs to cover up the costs that I've been relieved of from taking this job. 

Atleast this time I can see Tyler freely and we can date like normal people, I can also avoid Xavier. 

Jesus the man scares me. 

I try to think about what exactly about him scares me and I come to the conclusion that it's his eyes. 

His eyes scares me, they are not human, they are too cold and animalistic. 

They are eyes too mature for a 30 year old, eyes that have seen things and eyes that can do things you only whisper about.

I shudder again as I think about it. 

"What's that look you've got?" that soft sick whisper brings my head up. 

"Gina, you are awake" I say and she nods, trying to seat up. 

"Don't move, the doctor said not to move" I say. 

"What happened to your face? Did you get beat up? Are you being abused?" She says, her weak voice projecting concern. 

"Calm your self chick, this is nothing, I tried to French kiss a a door and this happened" 

"You hit your face on a door?" she asks and I nod, my answer seems to satisfy her so she leans back. 

"Did mom show up? She asks, it breaks my heart to lie to her so I just nod. 

"Yeah, she left before you woke up" I say and she rolls her eyes. 

"You don't have to lie, I know she didn't show up" She says and I crack a small smile. 

"Yeah, I'm sorry" I ssyy, we always do this, we both know her mother doesn't care enough to show up. 

All she cares about is booze and men. 

"I'm gonna step out to fill your water, don't move" I say. 

"As if" She replies and I smile. 

I grab the jug sitting atop the table, the dispenser is down the hall so I begin the walk. 

When I exit the room there's a man standing in the hallway, watching me. 

His looks sends shivers down my spine but I ignore him, whatever, it's up to him if he wants to check me out 

I move to the dispenser, my eyes catch a reflection on the dispenser bottle and I see the same man walking closer. 

He looks behind me and I know he's there for me, he go's to grab me and I dodge, throwing the glass jug, it hits him on the jaw and he howls.

I begin to run towards the exit and he follows, I see other men standing around and it's obvious they are there for me. 

What to do, what to do! 

I run so hard and fast, my breath escaping in short bursts, I hit my hand on a revolving door as I run past it and sparks flashes in front of my eye. 

As soon as I exit the building a car pulls up in front of me and 2 guys pour out of it, they grab me and stuff me in the vehicle. 

I begin to panic, I've been kidnapped, I struggle with my captors, tears burning my eyes. 

"Calm down" The voice commands with the right amount of coldness and aggression that immediately fear saturates my body, leaving me with little will and no energy. 

"Drive" Xavier says to the one in the driver seat and immediately the car pulls away, speeding down the highway. 

I bite my lip, wringing my finger, trying to seat as far away as possible from him. 

"Boss, they've stopped following us" One of the men in front says after a while of driving and Xavier makes a hand gesture, immediately the car slows down. 

It stops in front of a building and the other men pour out. 

I've been left alone witn the ice ghost. 

His white hair is messy and it looks as if that is the perpetual state he's always in. 

"How's your face?" He asks and it's a brain shock to me that such mundane question is coming from him. 

I get the feeling that he really doesn't care about my face, he's asking me because... I really don't know why.

. Do you really care about my face?" 

"No, Tyler wants to know" he says and my heart skips, he knows about me and Tyler. 

"Sir.." 

"There's no need to think of an excuse, I know my brother is in love with you, rather he thinks he's in love with you" 

"Xavier..." I start again before swallowing my words, I called him by his name, that's a no no, by the looks of it he doesn't seem to mind. 

"Do you want to know why you are here?" 

He asks and I nod. 

He smiles a growly smile "The first one calls you lover, the second calls your grams and the last calls you sister..." He says referring to his siblings, my heart falls. 

"... You've been kidnapped girl" He says and that's all I know before my head hits the car seat in a blackout. 

I've been drugged.
