Lydia's heart - Episode 30

Vicky sat down impatiently waiting for the love of his life; she has never been late in any of their date. He relaxed on the chair, this is her first time of coming late; maybe something happened or was he nervous “No, he can’t be” but his sweaty hands proved him wrong.

“Oh God, he has to steady himself or risk saying nonsense when she comes” he fumbled his pocket and brought out a small box, he opened it and the royal ring inside shined as the warm sun of the afternoon piercing through the window of the restaurant fell on it.

He admired the royal ring as if he has never seen it before; his father gave it to him when he was of age. As a member of the royal family you must propose to your woman with the royal ring.

It must have been carved out of pure gold because of the longevity of the ring being passed down through numerous lineages. He grins as how Lydia will take the news but one thing is certain, his heart accepted her. He has met many girls who loved him because they found out who he really is but this lady only knew him as a bar tender and she a successful fashion designer yet she fell for him.

He smiled and put back the ring in the box, pats his pocket and tried calling her number again.

“I believe you are calling my friend but unfortunately she is not coming”

Vicky turned to see the lady that he heard her voice but before he could register the face, as in a slow motion someone hit him with a heavy plank from behind and he slumped

“Bundle him to the car and remember leave no trace”

He heard the Lady’s voice command before he slips off to his unconscious state

**** Stacy who was outside asking the guard to allow her see the prince pushed him aside ruefully as she heard his shout

The guard raced behind her

“My love what made you shout; was it a dream” Stacy asked fussing around him

Vicky looked around him and to his amazement he recognized everything around him fully well.

He dismissed the guard and faced the lady sitting beside him.

“I am okay, it’s just a dream” he mumbled

“Oh thank God; I thought something happened to you” Stacy said happily and hugged him

Vicky hugged her back and released himself from her hold as quickly as they hugged

. He looked at the lady and wonders if she was the one he saw in his dream. On a second thought he decided against it, a lady who is capable of keeping him in the dark all this years will go to any length to hurt him if he misbehaves

“Baby, you have been staring at me for so long, what happened” Stacy asked looking concerned
Vicky lifts up his head and smiled, he has to play along “I said I am fine”

Stacy knew that something is wrong but couldn’t place her hand on it, she has been terrified since she never got the chance to administer the drugs to him and staying this long without taking the drugs will make him remember everything.

She has to bribe the cook someday but for now she hopes everything goes well; she smiled and pecked him “your mother wants to show me around the palace and the company inclusive” she said with a sly smile

“I just wanted to tell you so you won’t miss me much” she pecked him and left immediately, she could feel the tensed atmosphere; she must surely do something soon.

Vicky stared at the lady that just left his room; he needs one thing to prove to him that his staying with her was not co-incidence but a planned deal.   

He wore his cloth immediately he sensed the guards have relaxed, with quick step he slipped into Stacy’s room hoping it is not locked

He ransacked everywhere just hoping he finds something that will prove to him that Stacy had no hand in kidnapping him or separating him from the love of his life, he so much prayed it all turned out to be his imagination

The doctor have been right, the constant ringing of that name shows they are connected somehow and his abstinence from the drug Stacy gives him made his brain to go back to normal

“Oh fuck” he shouts as he saw the ring he was admiring in his dream among Stacy jewelries

His legs became weary and he slumped on the bed; how could he have missed it, Stacy was the one that texted him that day, hit him and kept him till he warmed up to her enough to marry her

“oh Lydia, you should have fought for me” he cried out as he remember the days he denied knowing her, maybe she thought he was doing it for real.

He scratched his hair in anger “how could a lady be this callous” he thought staring at the enlarged picture of Stacy.

He disgusts himself for falling for her tricks and all sexual escapades; he will make sure he baths with a bucket full of detol to clean her scent from his body.

He banged angrily on the wall, all this years he thought it was nature that brought them together as Stacy made him believe. He need to find Lydia no matter what; she is the rightful queen not that slut.

He called one of the maids and directed her to arrange Stacy’s room, if she wants to play a game then he is up to it.
