Rose - Episode 26
Lanre opened his eyes and found himself in between Etim and Jide, they were asleep. He looked around and saw that they were in some kind of bush. He tried to sit up but he couldn't, there was a very huge material on his leg. He felt wet and looked up to see if it was raining but it was not. He sniffed himself and his eyes widened. Petrol!. He started shaking Jide and Etim furiously but they didn't budge. He saw Ufuoma standing before them with a lighter. "Jesus! Ufuoma please don't! Please Ufuoma please!" He yelled. Ufuoma grinned and moved closer with the lighter. "Etim! Jide! Wake up! Ufuoma please don't do this" He pleaded. She took a step towards them "I'm not Ufuoma". Lanre closed his eyes and asked God for forgiveness, then he heard a gunshot. He opened his eyes and saw some figures approaching them with flashlights and Ufuoma layed on the ground motionless.

Lanre was giving his statement to the police when Onome barged into the station followed by Thompson. "Where is my daughter ? Where is she?" Onome yelled. "You again?" Thomoson spat as he sighted Lanre.

. "Madam calm down. We didn't shoot her, the vigilantes did" A police officer explained. " What bloody difference does that make, she was shot! I am going to sue all of you" Onome wailed. "Ma'am stop acting like that. It was your daughter who tried to roast my son, you're lucky we aren't pressing charges" Lanre's mother scolded. "What? What did this old hag just say? " Onome demanded. "I'm not an old hag. I came downstairs to check on my son and his friends but I found out they were gone I called the vigilantes. You daughter poured petrol over my son and almost set them ablaze" Lanre's mother babbled. Onome shook her head "No, you're lying".
