Jessie roll on the bed, she was unable to sleep, so many thoughts were going through her mind,

even though the Angels gave her a roof over her head does not mean she trust them 

But there is something about their presence that makes her comfortable,

that was the reason that made her stay and because of a certain person too 

Jessie shook her head 

"Hopeless" she muttered 

Nothing can ever happen between us, she said, not that I'm hoping or anything, its really useless to hope on such thing, she added 

I hope you are okay sunshine, Jessie whisper 

She sat on the bed and as her stomach growls 

She held her stomach,

I'm so hungry, I should not have decline the food that Angel offered, she said 

What should I do now? 

I can't go back to sleep hungry, she said as her stomach growls again 

She quickly stood up from the bed and head for the door,

she opened it quietly so as not to wake anybody up 

She peep through the corridor and find it empty, she sigh in relief as she closed her door quietely as she made her way to the kitchen.

 

Michael has be watching Jessie ever since he heard her door clicked opened,

he was about passing through the corridor when he saw her peep through the it,

he quickly hid in a corner and watched as Jessie left her room, he watched her closely and followed her immediately 

He got downstairs and saw Jessie in the kitchen looking through the cupboards

What are you doing? Michael asked 

Jessie nearly jumped out of her skin as she turned to look at Michael putting her hand on her chest 

You scared the hell out of me, she said trying to get her breathing even 

" sorry" Michael said 

What are you doing here? Michael asked again 

Well as you can see this is a kitchen, Jessie said 

Michael cocked his head at her 

Jessie sigh, I'm hungry that's why I'm in  here, Jessie explained 

Michael looked at her briefly before he nodded his head 

Elena actually left some food for you in the microwave, Michael said pointing to the direction of it 

Jessie smiled widely as she quickly take the food out of the microwave she did not even spare a glance at Michael as she started eating 

 

This food is delicious, she said  with her mouthful before she she continue eating 

Michael just stood there watching her eat, he then notice she looks really thin,

when she came in she was wearing a big shirt on top of what she was wearing but now that she has taken it off he could see the outline of her bone 

It's makes him wonder when was the last time she eat, and  from the way she is eating the food, it might be days, Michael said to himself 

He raised his eyes to meet Jessie who was watching him 

" sorry" Michael said 

Jessie was feeling self conscious

 

I should have put on that shirt she said, but I was not expecting anybody to be up by this time she added as she averted her eye's from Michael and continue eating 

Sorry if I made you uncomfortable, Michael said studying her body language 

Jessie just nodded her head

When she was done eating she quickly washed the dishes, she turned to see Michael still standing there 

Doesn't he have to sleep, Jessie said to herself 

Thanks for the food, she said as she walked pass Michael without waiting for his response 

Michael watched her leave,

there was something about her he could not place his finger on and it really unsettle him, he hates when he can't figure things out 

What is it about her? He whispered as he moved to the living room.

 

Jessie got to the room, and lay on the bed 
She sign in contentment as her stomach was now full,

she stare at the ceiling before her eyelid got heavy, she closed her eyes as she fell into a deep sleep

 

The next morning, Jessie was still lying on the bed but she was not asleep she felt so comfortable on the bed,  it has been a long time since she slept well 

She continie to relax on the bed until she heard a knock on the door, she stood up and went for the door 

Good morning, Elena said smiling brightly at her 

Good morning, Jessie said 

Here, Elena said handling a bag to Jessie 

Jessie looked at her for explanation, 

You did not have any bag when you came in yesterday, so I brought some of mine clothes  for you 

I hope you don't mind, Elena added 

Jessie shook her head 

Thanks, she said 

You are welcome, Elena said 

Breakfast will be serve soon, please join us downstairs, Elena said 

Okay, I will, Jessie said as she shut the door after Elena left 

Jessie went to the bathroom and had a quick shower,

she look through the clothes Elena gave to her and she was happy when she tested them that they were big for her because Elena is bigger than her 

She really felt uncomfortable when Michael was staring at her and she did not want any repeat of it 

She selected one of the outfit and put it on, she looked herself in the mirror and she was satisfied as the clothes she put on covered her body very well 

She glanced at the mirror one last time before she left the room

 

Hey, uncle Michael, Ariel said running towards her uncle 

What is it? Michael asked 

Why are you running? Michael asked 

I hope you and Grey are not fooling around, Michael said as he looked over her shoulder looking for Grey 

No, far from it, Ariel said 

Then what is it? Michael asked 

I and Grey heard movement coming from the guest room, I think there is somebody in there, she said 

Where is Grey? Michael asked quickly 

He is upstairs, Ariel said 

Before Michael could say anything they heard a sound 

Michael rushed upstairs quickly, with the rest of the family 

 

Jessie left the room but she was attack by somebody, but she was fast enough to block the punch the person sent her way 

Jessie turned to look at the person who attack her but she did not recongise him

She quickly throw a punch at the person and she saw something that made her back off a little 

The person's eye's flashed red, she was surprised as she has never seen anything like that before 

How dare you touch me? The person said 

He was about to attack her when a voice stopped him 

Grey.....

Michael shouted, making him stop in his action 

Ariel immediately went to his sides and pulled him back 

What is all this? Jessie shouted 

Who is this? She said pointing at Grey 

Michael turned to Grey to see him glaring at jessie 

This is Grey, Michael pointed at him and this is Ariel, Raguel and Elena's daughter and Grey is her soulmate, Michael explained 

We are sorry for the misunderstanding, Elena said 

Grey apologize to her, Anna said 

But mom.....

Just apologize, Anna said 

Sorry, Grey muttered 

Sorry I punch your face, Jessie said 

Grey let me take a look at your face, Raphael said 

Grey walked closer to Raphael, and he placed his hand on his face healing him instantly 

Alright, since everything is cleared let's go downstairs for breakfast, Elena said 

 

Everybody left heading downstairs expect for Michael and Jessie 

Are you alright? Michael asked Jessie 

I'm fine, Jessie said 

Michael nodded his head as they both head downstairs 

Jessie eyed the food on the table as she sat down 

She started eating her food and in no time she was done 

She was still hungry but she could not ask for more

But Michael who has been watching her, slide another plate of food to her 

You should eat more, he said quietly 

Michael knew Raguel was looking at him but he refuse to meet his eye's 

Jessie wasted no time as she started eating the food

Jessie help to carry the dishes to the sink after breakfast She was about washing  them 

No don't worry about that, Ariel will wash them, Elena said 

No it's fine, let me wash them, Jessie said 

Okay, Elena said 

 

After Jessie finish washing the dishes  she saw the rest of the family sitting In the living room

Join us Jessie, Ariel said stopping Jessie before she went upstairs 

Jessie wanted to say no but she glance at Michael who was watching her 

Please, Ariel said 

Okay, Jessie said and sat down on the couch 
She thought she saw a hint of smile on Michael's face when she sat down 

I'm not sure, she said to herself 

I could be wrong, and why will he smile because I sat down with them 

It does not make sense she concluded, as he relaxed her back on the couch and enjoy the show on the television
