MY SINCERE APOLOGIES FOR MY INCONSISTENCY. IS MY APOLOGY ACCEPTED?
AUTHOR'S POV
The door opened. Doyin looked expectantly. She was surprised when Taiwo and Kehinde, Amani's kids ran in carrying small bag packs.
She shouted in excitement. The kids run into her ready arms. She hugs them tight.
"We missed you Aunty", Taiwo, the male twin puts in as she released them from her embrace.
"I missed you more", Doyin said drawing them closer again.
Jeremiah looked at the scenario smiling.
When the trio were done cooing over each other, the twins noticed Jeremiah's presence.
"Good evening, Uncle", they greeted in unison.
"Good evening", he responded. "How are you?"
"Good".
"Great!"
Amani coughed to get their attention. #sorry, I don't know how to spell a cough #
"I didn't know what to expect", she said with a hint of tease.
"What do you mean?" Doyin asked.
Amani rolled her eyes. "You should understand. Well, I brought the kids for the week, they have been clamoring for Aunty Doyin so I brought them".
"You kids should take your luggage to your favorite and usual room", Doyin told the twins.
"Yea! The pink room!" The twins shouted and ran through a corridor.
Jeremiah picked up their little luggage and followed them.
Doyin and Amani sat down.
"A week!" Doyin started. "You hardly allow them to stay for just a weekend".
"I'm sorry, but you know their grandparents always want them over for the weekend", Amani explained.
Doyin nodded her head.
"I'm going for a second honeymoon", Amani added.
"Honeymoon? Again? You and brother Ali ehn!!!"
"Please leave us alone

. He is on leave and you of all people should know how rare that is. We are going to South Africa for a week", Amani said with a foolish smile on her face.
"You guys have forgotten you are not newly weds. Hmmn....... I envy you oooo".
"Don't envy me. Wait for your time".
They stopped talking as they heard footsteps from the corridor.

. Jeremiah and the kids walked in chatting animatedly about an animated movie called "Moana".
Amani stood up abruptly. "I would be taking my leave".
"Leaving? Not without tasting the dish I made", Doyin said pouting her lips.
"Hmm..... The food you made. Sounds interesting, but I have to go. Kids don't disturb your Aunty D."
"Cut it out Amani. What do you mean by disturb?" Doyin asked to defend the kids.
The twins looked on like innocents ants.
Jeremiah chuckled. "Have a nice vacation".
Amani raised an eyebrow. "You were eaves......."
Jeremiah raised his hands in protest. "No..... The twins told me".
"We would miss you mummy", the kids put in.
