Synder-Ella - Episode 1

“Are you still bothered about him my Lord?”

King John sighed and sat on the bed.

“Why won’t I be worried my queen? He is clocking 26 in the next two weeks, am I not supposed to be worried. What kind of a prince is he?”

Queen Porsha smiled and went to sit by her husband, putting a arm around him, “give him time.”

“What more time? He is not a boy any more. He is a man and he is expected to rule after me. Look at me, I am tired and old already, I don’t have much strength left to rule this land anymore.”

Porsha scoffed, “really?” She asked, giving a cocky smile. “With the three rounds you went last night, now you are saying you are old?”

 “Well, I can’t be too old for my wife. I am a king after all. I am expected to be very active in everything and that doesn’t leave you out my queen.” He joked and they both laughed.

They both kissed but this was cut short when a guard knocked on the door.

“My Lord, my queen, we are back.”

“Come in.” John said and a guard came in, fully dressed in the whole guard regalia(All those jagbajantis that they are always wearing)

“So, where is he?” The king asked.

“He escaped my Lord.” The guard replied soberly.

Both king and queen exchanged looks, “you mean, you lost him?” The queen asked.

“Yes my queen, he must have known that we were following him and all of a sudden we just couldn’t find him again.”

The king placed a hand on his forehead. “You are so useless

. SO you lost him, aren’t you supposed to be the guards?”

The queen signaled to the guard who bowed and left.

“My lord, my love, you have to take thing easy.” She said to her husband.

“He acts like a commoner, many people don’t even recognize him outside this wall. He doesn’t go with entourage; he refused to have his guards accompany him. He hates all those fashionable clothing the royal tailor makes for him.  What if I die now and he turns the palace into some kind of tourist center?”

Porsha laughed, “no, he wouldn’t. He is a good child, so, you don’t need to be worried about that. I will talk to him.”

“You better! He is your son!”

 “He is our son.” The queen corrected but the king waved it away.

“How is the banquet plan coming?” He asked.

“Well, I have sent letters to all the eight families so I believe that the ladies are getting ready for it.”

“Yes, maybe if we finally pick a lady for him out of the 8, a worthy lady, maybe he will become responsible.” The king said standing up, “I leave everything to your capable hand my queen.” He said, kissing her hand before leaving the room.

The queen sat in her room in her royal robe which was sweeping the floor. She was really a beauty to behold with her ear packed high and fastened together in a silvery ornament. Both wrists were covered inexpensive jewelries.  Two ladies tended to her, dressed in their uniforms, they were both the queen’s hand maids, and they were showing her pictures from a tab on their hands.

“Who is that?” She asked.

“This is Regina my queen.” Rosy, one of the handmaids replied and continued, “her father is the prime minister of the west.  She is a chef, studied at Harvard and has won many awards, best cultured and best behaved is one of them.”

Porsha collected the tab and  observed the picture.

“She’s pretty.” She looked up and handed the tab back to tab. “Lara let me see yours.”

The lady bent slightly and passed her the tab in her hand, she swiped to the next picture.

“Who is she?” Porsha asked.

“Her name is Katrina, she is...”

“Oh, I know her parents.” The queen replied, “her father was once the hand of the king before he passed away, living everything to his wife I guess.”

“Yes, to his second wife whom he married after his first wife died.” Lara corrected.

The queen was surprised ,”I didn’t know that. So, this new wife owns this girl, not the first wife?”

Lara nodded, “Yes my queen, I am not sure if the first wife left a child behind but Katrina has a sister...”

“I am not really interested in the family circle Lara.” Porsha said quickly before handing her the tab. “So we have our eight ladies who have been practicing all these years to serve as the prince’s queen but only one will get to be the real queen.

. We have so many things to prepare for, ladies. There will be competitions and so many things. I am so excited, now where is that son of mine?”

The two men ran as fast as their legs could carry them laughing and panting. One of them looked behind him and realized that the people chasing them had stopped.

“Hey wait, stop,they are gone.” He called out to him and his partner stopped, panting and trying to catch his  breath.

They were in an open field which was close to the lake. They both burst into laughter.

“I can’t believe we lost them.” One of them said.

“You are an asshole my prince.” The other said.

“You are an idiot, if not that you are my friend, I would have kicked your ass. ” He asked laughing.

“Look Henry, you need to stop doing this.”

“Doing what?”

“Running away from your own guards. What if you get into trouble oneday?”

Henry tapped him on the chest. “Hey chill out Peter! You know the reason.”

“Because you are shy and you don’t want people to know that you are a prince/”

Henry hissed, “no idiot! How were we eve friends if you keep on forgetting vital things Peter? I don’t want the attention. All this, ‘my prince this, my prince that’ and if you call me my prince again, I will kill you.”

Peter nodded, “yes my prince” then started running as Henry chased him.

COMMENTS

So Henry is a cliche for almost every cinderella story but I love the name actually, maybe when i come as a man to this world next, i will name myself Henry. Ugh, no, i will tell my parents to name me Henry, ah, thats impossible too, babies don't talk! So how will now become Henry then?

Anyway, what Cinderalla story have you seen as a movie or as a book, "ive seen A cinderella story, Ella Enchanted, Once upon a song, into the woods...think Ella Enchanted is my favourite actually and then, Into the woods, that movie is epic. Okay don;t mind me i talk too much but I have really missed y'all.
