The Bet - Episode 15

Raymond found himself at a bar that Sunday night, he and Richmond had  planned to hangout but work took Richmond away and he had to cancel last  minute, Raymond still decided to catch up with  the night life  in portharcourt...  alone.

"Get me another one" he said to the bartender after he finished his wine glass, a band played in the background but he wasn't listening, his mind was on his problems.  
He'd been there drinking for hours, Jessica wasn't picking his calls or replying his messages as usual and he missed her like hell, he wished things were different and he hated all his buddies for doing that to him. 
A woman walked into the bar and every male there turned to look at her..  including him, she was like a siren, his eyes went over her as she swung her waist and hips till it landed on a seat far away from him, he stared at her as every other male around.. 
"Your drink sir? "the bartender said, he drew his eyes away and looked at the Bartender, he  took his drink and looked at her again, she was talking to someone on the phone and met his gaze thereafter,  she then  stood up and cat-walked towards him, planted her butt on the seat closest to him to the hatred of all and said
"Hi, am  Cilia, but my friends call me Cee c "she stretched out her hand but he didn't take it "I know you won't recognize me but we grew up together before I travelled to the states"
He looked around to make sure this siren was talking  to him,  then looked back at her but she was looking directly at him 
"What?! "
"I'm Cee c White, your soon to be bride"
His ears stood at alert. That was she?! 
"You serious?! .

. Jesus what happened to you. You look...  "he looked for a better word
"Different? "
"Yeah definitely hotter than I remember "he said
"Thanks"she smiled, even her smile was disarming, he knew he was drunk but she was drawing him in.. Slowly
"You want a drink? "He asked 
"I already ordered" she said
The bartender put the glass of wine in front of her, she rolled the rim of her glass with her finger while they eyed each other up.  .. 
He spent the night buried in her arms...

Two months later
Raymond had returned to Abuja and done all he could to get back Jessica but it became clear as day that they were over, seeing he had feared this would happen and it being the  consequences of his action he decided to focus on his job, he and his father had been at lockheads about the marriage to Cilia for about a month now and he had decided she wasn't so bad after two months of seeing each other and the fact that she kept coming around, just at the right time. 
She cooked and cleaned for him and in her mind they were dating, he soon got used to it and it wasn't long before he took her around his friends. 
Mariam was not happy about it and had not hidden her displeasure
"B-tch you better lay your fingers off him, he's dating my friend, did he tell you he was single?" She attacked Cilia at the restroom, Cilia looked at her
"B-tch I don't care who he's dating, we are getting married soon"
"Oh really" Mariam crossed her armsarms "I don't see a ring"
"Well we just started dating two months ago, its kinda early by my watch, its gonna be the wedding of the year, the uniting of two great families.. don't worry I ll save you an invite" she took her purse and walked out of the restroom... 
"Ma nigga so glad you off that other chick, this is the real deal man, they said you were in love but I scoffed at it" Elvis said "I said how can"
"She's so hot damn" Chris said
Raymond shook his friends round as Ceec returned from the ladies and smiled at them,  they drank and smoked pot together 
"Who's Jessica?"
"Uh?" He looked at her, she was looking at his phone 
"You been staring at the contact?"
"What, just my secretary" he recalled he didn't have a secretary and she too wondered but decided to let it slide
"So when is the wedding happening?"
Cilia smiled and held his arm"soon, can't wait "she kissed his cheek and he smiled
"Wow Raymond you hit it real big this time, she related to the Whites, damn" Maxwell said
"He just gets all the luck"
Raymond  looked at Mariam glaring at him. 
He didn't hesitate to try and talk to her
"I know how this looks Marian but your friend won't talk to me, what am I supposed to do, wait forever?"
"Two months?, is that all she's worth, you guys were over for just two months and your on to the next"
"What am I supposed to do?"
"Find her, talk to her, make more effort at getting her back, she needs you especially now she's pregnant.."
He paused "she's what?"
She closed her mouth
"Omg, I'm not supposed to say that "
"She's pregnant?" he asked again 
"It doesn't matter does it, go back to your woman"
"Sweetie, is everything okay?" Cilia called to him, Mariam got in Chris car and slammed the door while Raymond stood there hands akimbo staring at her...

Predictions on next episode, is Raymond going to try and get her back or go with his fathers wishes?
