*"It's not nonsense Darren. It's not!! You haven't met a desperate man who's willing to do anything and everything to keep a secret... "

"And what has it got to do with your parents death?"

"I might have been young then but I wasn't blind. I saw everything. My siblings and I had returned home one evening after playing when we heard a gunshot. My two elder siblings had run inside to check what the noise was but Emerald and I stayed behind. I hid behind the window and saw them... They shot our maids, shot both my parents and my siblings... Out of fear I run inside and my mother who was not dead gave me a necklace. She told me to run with my sister and get justice once we were old enough... I remember those bloody murderers demanding a particular video from my dad but he refused..... Do you get it now? Darren? These are the videos your father wanted. He's the only one that will be in trouble when the authorities get this video.You saw with your own two eyes how he killed your mother. Now tell me this is nonsense. Tell me!!!" 

Elvis yells.

"No no!! This is absolute nonsense. My father is not capable of committing such a heinous crime... Killing his own wife? Damn no!!" 

Darren shakes his head continuously then grabs the laptop, replays the video, once, twice, thrice then he suddenly let's go off the laptop as it hits the floor, a sudden pain coursing through his head, flashes of images from that night playing in his head....

"Darren? Are you okay? What's happening to you?"

. He was holding his head between his hands, seated on the floor and writhing in pain, immense pain.. Soon, he was screaming as the images kept flashing in his mind like lightening, the pain growing worse and worse each second.. He could see clearly now.. He was four years at the time, when he woke up to noises... He cried as his father slit his mother's throat and watched her jerk for a nano second then she went still.. He didn't know what death was at that time but seeing his mother lying in her pool of blood got him scared and he cried harder, catching his fathers attention... To keep him quiet, his father had hit him on the head and he fell..

Darren's screams increased as the scenes from that night many years ago played in his mind.

He was oblivious to Elvis and Steven's screams... Suddenly, he went limb and he blacked out....

Tonia stepped out of the ward and screamed in shock when she saw an unconscious Darren been wheeled on a stretcher with Steven and Elvis rushing in alongside the nurses...

Emerald steps out of the washroom when she hears Tonia's scream.

She rushes out and sees her friends eyes fixated in a particular direction.

Her eyes follows hers and she gasps.

"Oh my God! Darren. What happened?!"

"What do you mean to say doctor?"

Emerald asks as she stared at Darren sleeping on the bed

"I mean to say that, for several years now, he is been given medication either through food or injection to prevent him from regaining his memory... There are medicines like that. He's been having amnesia for years now. And something must have triggered his memory"

"We were just watching some sort of video and he suddenly began to scream"

Elvis chips in

"Well then whatever it is, it played an important role in regaining his memory. As soon as he wakes up please let me know. I'll be in my office"

the middle aged doctor answers and walks out...

"I..I don't get it... Something is fishy here"

"Let's wait for him to wake up first"

Emerald states as she caresses his face.

TWO HOURS LATER

He rubs his temple as he sits up, and feels a certain weight pinning him to the bed.

He looks down at himself to see Emerald sleeping on his laps.. Carefully, he lifts her off his laps and rests her head on the mattress... He gets up and frowns.

His head throbbing badly.

He ignored it and walked out... Someone had a lot of explanation to give him..

Emerald wakes up few minutes later only to be met with his absence..

"Darren?"

She calls out. Yawning, she gets up and walks to the washroom, still wearing the hospital attire..

"He's not in here either"

She mutters to herself..

"What nonsense!! What do you mean?"

Chief Benson growls smashing his phone to the tiled floor

"We managed to find the delivery man. He was on the streets doing some delivery.. Sir. We did all we could to get some information but we found none. It seems the person behind these pictures knows we will probably look for him and he doesn't want to be found"

Stone says Suddenly, the door slides open and Darren walks in, taking slow and steady steps, clapping.

"Well done father.

He growls Chief Benson stares at his son, his countenance changing from anger to confusion.

"What are you talking about Darren?"

"Oh you wanna know?... Okay... Stone get me a drink. Two Tequila shots with some icecubes.."

Stone stares at him in shock. Did he just order him to get him a drink? He was a bodyguard not a servant.

"Did you not hear me Stone? I said get me a drink or you want me to shove that disgusting look you have in your eyes up your ass!"

Darren retorts in his British accent

"Err.. Okay Sir"

He answers and walks to the bar to get the drink.

"Meanwhile dearest father, please have a seat. Trust me it's gonna be a long talk so you need a seat"

Chief Benson stares at Darren... Fear suddenly creeping into his heart... Had his son found out already? Oh no.. He gulps and for the first time, as Chief Benson stares at Darren, all he feels is fear... Immense fear...
