The Man I Love - Episode 6

Tosin and Emeka have both agreed to see

 their pastor on Sunday after service,

 mean while the man of God has announced on Friday during evening service that his
 only son would be with them that sunday...

his son studied in Lagos and has been away for over 10 years. The pastor's wife is based in London and comes to Nigeria at least
 twice in a year, 

 his son after his NYSC, usually travel in and out of the country to visit his mum and also for official purposes.

 The pastor's son grew up in Benin but 
relocated to Lagos when he was about to 
write his WAEC. 

He lived with his mum's sister till he
 graduated and obeyed the clarion call and 
has not returned home since then.

 The church workers were seriously given to preparations for his arrival.

Vil and Hani soon arrived at her parents'
 house,

She introduced Vil to her family and they
 welcomed both of them with joy. 

“Why the hurry my son, do you really 
understand each other?” her father asks

“Sir, we both love each other and more so, I would be travelling overseas immediately
 after our wedding for some work and might not return any time soon, 

that's why I would be glad if we could round off with the whole preparations without 
delay.

I want everything done speedily” Vil
responded.

After answering all the possible questions 
from her parents, he told Hani that he likes her family,

 "they are loving and accommodating” he
 complimented..."

“we will have to stay back in Benin till everything is over” he said.

“Okay dear, no problem“. She replied.

Wedding preparations was in progress at 
Hani's house, although her family was 
deeply disappointed at their daughter's
 change of heart on the man she choose but
 they still had to support her,

Since she was the one getting married and
 not them.

 Money was not an issue, Vil had already 
sent money in abundance for the
 preparations.

They acquired the services of an event 
planner to handle everything even though
 they had to pay more than the usual charge due to the urgency. 

“I will be coming with my family next 
weekend so that other things can follow” Vil says, mean while,

Hani would have to call at my family house too

 day is far spent already“

“No problem my son, God will see us 
through “ her mother added. 

Vil arose and drove off, they actually came
 in one car even though Hani has a car of
 her own.

 Tosin receives a call from an old friend of
 hers, they both served in Niger state but 
Victor redeployed to in the
 middle of their service and he completed
 his NYSC there.

"Madam church how far, it’s Victor your runaway NYSC friend..."

Tosin was confused for a while as she tries
 hard to figure out who the caller was, 
suddenly she screamed:

“Hehehehehe...hi, where have you been?”
 they both roared in and laughter and
 chatted. The call lasted for an hour and 
could have been longer if not that Tosin had to prepare for the service of tomorrow 
besides, she had a lot on her table.

Emeka's proposal was enough to worry 
about.

Aside from that, she was excited to hear
 from Victor after two years...Tosin was the welfare mama of the Christian corpers, 

she catered for everyone's need and was 
loved by all...

Victor promised to surprise her if God gives him the opportunity because she was just
 too good.

When the pastor's son returned, his father was excited to have him around. 

After he had settled down, he sat with his
 father and they chatted over events that
 had taken place in his absence.

"That reminds me, daddy! about my
 wedding, I will love it take place this month end.

 Considering the fact that I would be
 travelling next month I honestly don’t want any hindrance to my trip.  

I’ve already told her parents that we would be coming to see them next weekend, 

I hope it’s not too short to gather our uncles, I will pay their fare that’s not an issue” Vil 
said.

“My son, this girl you want to marry I don't know o, you know we’ve not really talked
 about this, not everything can be discussed on phone so I couldn't question you that
 much.

 I actually have someone in mind for you. 
She has been with us for two years now in
 the church and I really like her, she is 
priceless.

 you can still marry her on that date that 
you intend to, she will make a good wife for you trust me." He suggested.

"Daddy what are you saying?

 I know this is the first time you are asking
 something from me as I’ve been away for so long, but what about my girl?

 we’ve been together for sometime now.

It won't be nice to just leave her like that
 besides, i’ve already met with her family 
and i’ve even given them some money to
 commence with the wedding preparations.

 Moreover, to  you are yet to meet my 
fiancee...."
