Dance With Me - Episode 4

Adams walked his way through the few people that were left on the floor. The music was now a slow music and only a few people were dancing slowly to the music. He glanced around for anyone in pink, hoping he would at least see her once again but there was no one like her, it was like she had left but, so soon?

“Hey boss.”

He turned around and found Candy, one of his employees behind him. She was a tall, Ghanian with a beautiful sienna skin. Her lips were covered in red,  full and long eyelashes with  cleavages that were almost falling out of the top she wore.

“Hey Candy.”

“Nice of you to join us, thought you were going to hide in your office all day.” She joked and he only smiled. She was one of his employees whom he knew had a thing for him. He wasn’t the only one who knew this, she made it obvious all the time.

“Would you like me to fix you a drink?” She asked, the excitement to do that was showing all over her face but he shook his head politely, raising his cup to indicate that, he had already done that.

“Oh. Well, enjoy.” She said and he nodded before going on her way.

“Are you ever going to ask her out?” Omega asked behind him and he smiled.

“She isn’t my type. “He replied and they both chuckled and walked to an empty seat close-by.

“Did you see the lady in pink earlier?” Adams asked.

“Sure, I think everyone did, why?”

“Well,  did you see her leave?” Adams asked.

“Nope.” Omega replied, smiling and looking at Adams suspiciously.

. “Why?”

“Nothing.”Adams replied, just asking.

“So I saw John coming to your office tonight.”

Adams nodded and sipped from his cup. |

“Is it bad?”

“Three months.”

“Wow!”
“So I told Marcy to organize an emergency meeting in a few minute time.”

“Yea, she already told everyone.” Omega replied, checking his wristwatch. “Ten minutes to go.”

“Wow! The time is really far spent.” Adams replied, checking the time on his wrist as well. “I need to get a file in my car outside, please gather everyone once the last customer is gone.”

Omega nodded while Adams stood up and headed outside.

The darkness was beautiful, illuminated by the lights from the club, the street and the radiant stars, casting a myriad of showdowns on the asphalt.

There were few cars driving past the club and away from the club, mostly customers that were finally driving home.

Adams walked towards the side of the road where his car was parked. He had just opened the car when he began to hear noises behind him...

At first, he thought it was just nothing, so he picked the documents and got out of the car. He was about to lock the doors, when he heard noises again. This time he could hear it clearly, it was a female voice-

“Let go of me! Help! Leave me alone!”

Adams waited to know where the voice was coming from,  there were still several cars parked behind him and it was coming from one of them-the one behind him actually. He opened the door of his car and brought out his torch which he flashed towards the car behind him.

“Let her go right now or I am calling the police!” He threatened, flashing his torch again and bringing out his phone.

The noise stopped and the car opened, immediately, someone was pushed out and the car zoomed out of the area.

Quickly, Adams went to the aid of the lady who was now on the floor and who surprisingly was the lady in pink that he had been looking for.

“Hey , are you okay?” He asked.

The lady said nothing. She was trying to get dust from her hair and cloth.

Adams waited for her reply but she gave none.

“Do you need any help?” He asked again, without coming closer.

“No, thank you, I got this.” She replied.

From where he stood, Adams could tell that she must be a very pretty girl but he couldn’t actually see her. While he waited, debating on this, his phone rang-it was Marcy.

“Hey.” He said, turning around.

“Where are you? Folks here need to go home.”

“I will be there soon.: He replied and the call ended.

He turned back around to address the lady, “well, I hope...” He started and stopped as he realized she was no longer in sight. “She really does have a hobby of vanishing at the last minute.” He said to himself before walking back to the club.
