Reginah allowed the sadness she felt swallow her whole. She was seated by the window her legs folded on the chair staring at the white curtains of her room. They seemed pure...

She couldn't hold the tears falling down her cheeks anymore. She could hear soft footsteps of her mother approaching her, she wanted to wipe the tears away but she was done.

She was done acting okay. She was done faking a smile. She was done always acting like the strong one. Her heart was aching, her world was crumbling. She needed to cry, it didn't mean she want strong. It meant she was human and had a heart that could break..

"Baby are you okay???" Her mother asked but she didn't respond.
"Baby, mummy is talking to you."
"Just leave me alone, I don't feel like talking. What's new anywei???"

"Talk to your mama, she is here for you..."
"What I am going through doesn't need your presence but redemption.."
"I can see what i will do, I might be able to help.."

"Mum, you can't do anything.." Reginah was beginning to get irritated.
"Try me.."
"Mum, just leave me alone.."
"I won't..."
"Okay, I will leave the room for you..."
Reginah begun walking away.

"We only got each other in the world. You stood by me during my worsts now it's my turn..."

"What do you want me to tell you mum," She snapped, "That the mother to the guy I love so much found out about the events of 24th September and she is threatening me to tell everyone if I don't leave her son alone.."

Shouting never works. Its just a way to show anger through speech..

Her mother didn't seem worried, she walked towards her and embossed her into a hug..
The tears became uncontrollable, pouring down her cheek in a lightning speed..
"Who cares if she knows about the events of that day. Don't let her step over you. You are a fighter baby."

"Mum, that's not what scares me..."
"Then what does???" Her mother walked her to the bed and they sat down, her hand on her shoulder.

"I am scared, he would hate me. Where do I begin mother???"
"Begin from the start, if he loves you he will understand.."

"I am scared mum," 
"Why???"

"Mum who wants do date a stripper??? Mum I was an underage stripper who killed her client after trying to rape her..." She never felt so much rage as like when she thought of her past..
She was shattered, sudden pain in her chest...

"He will understand.."
"No he won't," Reginah stood up in rage, she felt like her mother was taking things lightly, "How would he understand?? What would he understand??? That I was an underage stripper trying to help her ailing mother. I had a choice to do a descent job but I didn't. I had a choice to seek help from our relatives but I couldn't. I had a choice to go back to riding and earn money but I didn't because i had too much pride... I always had a choice..." She spat with fury falling on her knees...

"I heard a choice to let him rape him than to kill h..." Her mother cuts her off with a slap on her cheek, "Don't ever say that, he didn't have the right to rape you..."

Her mother's eyes were now stung with tears... Reginah was self-disgusted that she didn't feel the impact of the slap. She hated herself, she had buried the skeletons of her past but Mrs Kara had to bring them back to life...

Her blood was heated with disgust and anger.
"You have a choice Reginah, a choice to tell the guy you love the truth... If anything goes wrong we will run away.."

"I am done running," Reginah murmured, "I left him there in the pool of blood, I didn't care. I have had to live with that all my life. I can't go to therapy because I am scared of going to prison..." She clenched her fists to control her rage..

Her mother knelt beside her and lifted her chin up, "He wanted to rape you, you didn't have any other choice. Your mother was admitted in the hospital. It's not your fault but mine.. I was a horrible mother, because of me you had a bad childhood...I am sorry my baby.." She cried, cupping her face. Her forehead on hers, "I am sorry for being a horrible mother..."

Reginah was just there she didn't respond or hug her back.. She just allowed the unstoppable tears to continue falling down her cheeks...

"My girl, you have to tell the guy you love the truth.."
"Reginah, you have to tell him the truth..if he decided to hate you atleast he knows the truth. Don't hurt yourself, stop tormenting yourself.."

"Reginah talk to me," Her mother yelled shaking her, "you have to tell him everything.."

"I will lose my scholarship, his mother is determined to ruin my life.." Reginah stuttered after her mother vigorously shook her.
"Who cares??? There is always another way.. I want you to be happy, you have done alot for me my girl. It's my turn now, if you love him and he loves you..We shall fight this battle together.." Her mother swallowed a sob raising up her throat.., "Don't let any rich mama make you feel little of yourselves..If she messes with you tell your mama and she will deal with her.."

"Now got tell him and if anything goes wrong. We will leave this place right away. I rather be always on the move than to see you hurt..Go my girl.." Her mother said in a commanding voice but Reginah just lets out a long audible breath..

They both stood from the floor and her mother handed her, her coat and some money to get a cab, "You are Diana's daughter, you don't quit. We fight till the end." She said cupping her face..

"Get going." 
Reginah nodded disappointedly, it didn't seem she had a choice. But knowing her mother was beside her, it gave her the strength. She needed to fight her demons and the time was now.

She wasn't to allow a rich evil woman to step on her head. She was Diana's daughter, there are fighters... She was gonna tell her love the truth. If he loves her, he would understand and if not atleast she tried...
