Pierced Rose - Episode 35

Reginah was weak and looked pale. For the past two days she had refused to eat or drink.. That morning her mother had to literally drag her to school.

Crying had become her new hobby... 
Peter had begun getting worried about her, she had missed practice for two days now and that was a bad sign for the team.

"Renah, you look so pale.." Peter stated cupping her face, "your eyes are swollen."
"It's nothing Peter, I am just low.."
"Low, who you fooling.. I know you have been crying because of that good for nothing.."
"Don't talk ill of my Brad or else we will have a problem." Reginah ordered pointing at his face..

"Relax!!! I won't harm your rich boy.." Peter lifted his hands up in surrender.
"Good."

Reginah was about to walk away when he held her hand.
"What now??"
"You have something on you face."
"Leave it.." Reginah dropped his hand.
"It will get into your eye.." He held her hand again and pulled her to him..

"What are you doing??" Reginah awkwardly whispered.
"Relax Renah, let me get it off your face before it gets into your eye.." He caressed her face.

"How dare you do this to me Reginah??? In school.." Reginah's whole body  jerked from Brad's yelling.

"Brad..."
Before Reginah could explain, Brad drove his fist into Peter's nose. His head flew as his eyes locked on the sky while he stumbled.

"B....r...a...d.." Peter ploughed his fist into Brad's stomach. He staggered back groaning in pain..
Reginah wanted to run to him but Andrew held her.. She couldn't understand where he came from..

She tried to fight from his grip but her efforts bore no fruits. Brad and Peter stumbled apart for a few seconds to catch their breaths before diving into each other.Their eyes were narrowed with determination.

"Andrew, please they will kill each other.." Reginah tried reasoning with me.
"Let them have some little fun.." He arrogantly replied..

Finally they had attracted a huge crowd whose work was cheering.. it seemed God answered Reginah's prayers when Mike and Malcolm showed up and separated them. Reginah on the other hand bit Andrew so hard that he freed her..

Reginah found herself running towards Peter who looked more hurt. He hand rose his hand to cover his nose.

Brad's mouth was pooled with blood and also his knuckles but he seemed alright.
"Peter, Are you okay??? Talk to me.."

He didn't have the energy to respond but only seek support from Andrew.
"Look what you have done," Reginah sneered charging towards Brad, "you almost killed an innocent man."
Reginah slapped him, "You didn't even give me a chance to explain.."
"What was there to explain??? You two wanted to kiss before I rudely interrupted you.."

"You don't trust me.."
"How can I trust you Reginah when you always hurting me??"
"To hell with you.." Reginah pushed him back but he only staggers.

"You know what," Brad holds her by the shoulders," I am done. My patient has reached his limits. I am done fighting for you. I am done waiting for you. You slapped me because of that good for nothing. It's clear you don't love me, it's over.." Brad shook her violently that she flinched.

"It's over Reginah Mumbi, you will never see me again.." Brad lamented.
Reginah was at loss of words while Isabelle smiled victoriously.

"I know you love me.." Reginah stuttered.
Brad pulled Isabelle close to him and kissed her before pushing her away and walked away to his car..Isabelle was left there rubbing her lips like a fool.

Reginah was dumbfounded, she could feel the pain take over her being. She couldn't believe what she had seen.

"Re...."
Reginah raised her hand and signalled Mike to shut up before saying anything.
"Andrew, take Peter to the car. I will be with you two soon." Reginah said and ran to the bathroom.

She opened the faucet washed her face and blew her nose. She was choking in her own words. The tears couldn't stop flowing down her cheeks no matter what she did.

It finally dawned her that she has lost him. She had finally succeeded in pushing the love of her life away..

She was supposed to be happy but she felt like she had been hit by a truck. The pain was unbearable... She hoped he would wait for her but he gave up  easily..

Like all the men in his past who left her, he joined the club. She was mad, mad that he didn't fight harder, mad that he fell in love with her, mad that he made her breathless..

She was mad at everything around her.
