Grey sat on his bed, staring at nothing in particular,

he wrapped his hands around his body as he rested his head on the headboard,

he closed his eyes for a moment and a certain face pooped into his mind,

he could not stop the smile that crept on his lips.

Grey allowed himself to be lost in the moment, just thinking about the Angel

"I need it" he whisper to himself

 

Few minutes later he opened his eyes, he stood up from his bed and made his way to the window,

he watched the other demons interact with each other and laugh about random things 

He has not being outside for a while, he is scared of the other demons noticing that something was different about him, that he share his soul with another.

He sigh and shook his head as he averted his eyes from the window,

he was feeling bored sitting in the house doing nothing, he existed his bedroom and made his way to the living room

Immediately he entered the living room he saw his mother seated and she was watching a show on the television

Good afternoon son, Anna said with a smile as she watched her son take his seat

Good afternoon, Grey grumbled his response as he sat down, he hope his mother won't say anything to him

Anna watched her son closely, she noticed her son has being in his room all day,

she also notice his mood was not looking bright she wanted to say something to him, but she decided against it

 

Anna finally averted her eyes from her son and continue to watch the show on the television

Grey was glad when he could no longer feel his mother's eyes on him,

he was also glad that his mother did not bring up the "soulmate" issue again.

Both mother and son sat in silence as they watched the show on the screen

 

Grey suddenly sat up straight, he heard a voice at the back of his mind

"I'm coming"

He frowned a little because he knows that voice

"The Angel" 

But how is it possible he heard her, I don't understand this he said to himself 

He quickly stood up and made his way to the door

Hey Grey, where are you going? Anna asked quickly before her son exist the door, she saw the way he stood up quickly, 

I will be back Grey said as he left the house, he took a deep breath before he vanished

Ariel landed on the field, she glance around but did not see the demon any where,

her mood deflated quickly, she had a great expectation that he will be here

I don't even know if he will show up, maybe I should go home,

its really stupid of me to think the demon would come, she said to herself,

she kicked the sand on the ground, as she took a deep breath and flash her wings ready to leave but she immediately sense the demons presence

 

She turned quickly and was greeted with the sight of the one demon she was waiting for,

she nearly smiled but faked a cough quickly to hide her smile because the demon was close and he would surely see her smile 

 

You called, Grey said calmly, he was trying not to show his excitement about being in the presence of the Angel but deep down he was very excited

"My Angel" he whisper to himself

You heard that, Ariel said as she raised her eyebrow in surprise

Yes, Grey said 

How come? She asked

We have a bond Angel, I think is one of those things that happen with a soulmate bond, Grey said

 

Ariel blushed and looked away, because the demon called her Angel,

even though she knows he did not really mean it the way she thinks,

but that did not stop her cheek form burning  up with colours

All soulmate bond don't work like that, Ariel finally said

Really? Grey asked

Ariel look up at Grey

You don't really know much about soulmate bond, do you? She said

No, Grey said as he shrugged

Well all don't share mind link, my parents don't have one she said

"Mind link" is that what they call it, Grey asked

"Yes" 

So did you find a way to break the bond? Ariel asked, 

 

Grey almost showed his emotion of being sad about the Angel still wanting to break the bond, but he remained calm

"Which Angel will want to have a bond with a demon, especially a demon like me who kills Angels" he said to himself 

"No" he finally said answering Ariel's question 

"You" he asked

"No"

Ariel linger her eyes on the demon more than intended, 

"He's really handsome" she whispered to herself

She turned quickly to hide her flustered cheeks from the demon

Silence stretched between them, 

 

Grey on the other hand was trying to make his stare discreet,

he really find the Angel to be beautiful, but he will never admit that out loud, or even think about telling her

Who am I kidding? He said to himself, she would probably punch me in the face if I tell her that

So what are we going to do about this? Ariel questioned as she turned to look at the demon

I don't know, Grey mumbled not looking at her direction, he feels something is changing inside of him, 

I really don't want to get lost in those beautiful eyes of hers, he whispered to himself 

Ariel nodded her head, as she check her phone for the time 

She saw its getting late and she does not really want her parents to worry because of her

I have to go now, she said looking back at Grey

Grey nodded his head, trying not to show his disappointment about her leaving, but he knows she has to leave

We should meet here tomorrow, Ariel suggested, so we can figure out the way forward she added

Grey nodded his head quickly, he will make any excuse to be in her presence,

he knows he is falling prey to his emotions, 

I will just spend as much time I have with her, before this bond is broken, he said to himself

Ariel flashed her wings to leave,  but turned one last time to look at the demon, she gave him a smile before she left

Grey heart skip a bit from seeing the Angel's smile,

his lips immediately curve into a beautiful smile before he vanished leaving the field also

Ariel got home with a smile on her face, seeing the demon today really made her feel very relaxed 

She was so distracted that she did not even notice that she landed in the living room instead of her bedroom,

she looked around and saw her entirely family watching her 

Of course, it had to be at this time everybody would be in the living room, she said to herself 

Someone seems to be in a good mood, Elena said with a smile

Ariel just smiled back at her mother but she did not say anything about the reason for her smile 

I will be in my home, she announced avoiding everyone's gaze as she hurried upstairs to her room 

Raguel watched his daughter leave, he had his suspicion about his daughter's behaviour,

his eyes moved to were Michael was seated and Michael nodded his head, confirming Raguel's suspicion.

Grey got home with smile still playing on his lips, he opened the door to his house, he entered and shut the door behind him,

he rested his back on the door and he closed his eyes for a moment, and replayed the time he spent in the Angel's presence 

He opened his eyes after a minute and saw his mother watching him

"What" Grey mumbled

You tell me, Anna said with crossed arms

Grey did not not say anything, as he straighten himself, he was about to walk pass his mother before he heard a knock on the door

He turned back to answer the door, when he opened it he saw a demon standing outside 

The demon straighten himself immediately Grey opened the door 

The master wants to see you immediately, the demon said and left after he delivered the message

"It's time" Grey whispered
