My Mistake - Episode 21

FIVE MONTHS LATER

Been a hectic and emotional month for Aysha. When she made up her mind not to go back to Fadeel, she never knew it will be as hard as this, neither did she thought she'll miss him as much as she does___upon all he did, Aysha knew she still loves him.

She had lost the baby, lost the love of her life and lost everything she had ever cherished to Amirah. She knew she had given up everything the very moment she looked into Fadeel's eye and told him she hates him____told her parents she prefer to be on her deathbed than going back to his house. But still, why does it feel like she has given everything to Amirah?

The baffling point here was the fact that Fadeel believed Amirah was pregnant and that Fa'izah was responsible for the miscarriage___he and Fa'izah still don't talk, but yet again.....why bother herself with the affairs of his family? And her own parents? They were quiet understanding when she said she won't go back to Fadeel. Fa'izah tried to tell them the real reason behind Aysha's sudden disinterest in Fadeel, but Aysha stopped her from doing so___he isn't worth the heartache from her parents. The only thing she told them was "Its high time i move on dear parents. Fadeel and I's marriage isn't going to work out anymore, and i don't want our stupidity to affect the beautiful relationship between the two families. I want to let go of this marriage, maybe___just maybe I'll be happy then."

But she knew how wrong she was as she spoke those words

. Her heart yearns for him more and more with each passing day, the empty feeling deep beneath her heart increasing in folds. Will she ever stop loving him? She wondered____but then answered herself____'No, not anytime soon. Not after seeing the devastating look in his eyes as he let go of her___not after seeing how broken he is as he pronounced her not his wife anymore. Could it be that he has finally fallen in love with her?

After staying for three months (waiting period permitted by islam to every divorced or widowed woman before she marries another man. In Aysha's case, Fadeel wasn't able to divorce until five days after the blood stopped flowing. It is not allowed in islam to divorce a wife when she isn't clean___that is when she's on her period days, or flow of blood after giving birth or miscarriage). Ever since she came home, she hasn't been out till today. She's going to visit Fa'izah and spend some quality time with her friend____her one true friend.

Dressed in a blue jean and white top, Aysha applied little make up before putting on her blue kinono. She then paired her dressing with a black veil, a black handbag and a blue white high-hilled shoe. Looking at the large mirror in front of her, Aysha knew again for the thousand time that she was beautiful. Even though Fadeel has dealt with her badly, she still look as amazing as ever.

"I'm off mom" she said, leaning at the door of her mother's bed room.

"_Harkin shirya? (Dressed up already?)" Her mom asked, putting her hijaab into the walk in closet before coming out " are you driving or do you want the driver to take you?"

"Don't worry mom, I'll drive your car."

"Uhuh" her mom said smiling "why don't you use your own car?"

"Yours is new mom. Pretty please" she pouted, acting like a baby she had always been to her parents.

"Here you go baby" she handed her the key before hugging her "drive safe okay?"

"Sure Mom. Bye."

"Welcome!" Fa'izah shrieked happily as she engulfed Aysha in a bone crushing hug "I missed you so much babe!"

"Easy missy" Aysha said pushing herself away from Fa'izah "don't break my bones and don't wake up the king sleeping on that couch" she pointed towards the sleeping baby.

Fa'izah rolled her eyes before dragging Aysha into the living room. "Welcome babe. What would you like to eat?"

"Oh please, let me rest miss. Am not tired. Where is your village husband?"

"Here Madam!" Muhammad said stepping into the room with his friend behind him. "The queen finally graced us with her presence!"

"Lol. Yaya Muhammad is still funny. Good afternoon." She greeted her friend's husband smiling 

"Afternoon Sisy. How have been?" He asked taking the sleeping baby into his hand and handing him over to his friend.

"Alhamdulillah.

. How's work and everything?"

"The baby is beautiful" she heard a deep husky voice say before Muhammad could reply. Looking beside her, she gasped and quickly look away when she noticed he was also looking at her. "I should get married soon man."

"You ought to Mr. Bachelor" Muhammad said sitting beside him.

"Food is ready!" Fa'izah yelled from the kitchen. "Come help me arrange the table dear."

"Sure beautiful. Coming" Muhammad replied as he stood up "entertain yourselves please, we'll be back soon."

"Take your time Man" the mysterious guy replied while Aysha still kept her head ducked down.

Who is this mysterious guy who won't look away from her? Its weird how he had been looking at her since he came in. What is wrong with him? She wondered.

"How are you Aysha? You look more beautiful in real life than in picture i must confess.'

What?!

She looked up and locked eyes with him for the second time, and this time__she didn't look away quickly like she did the first time. His eyes are dark and beautiful.

"You're beautiful' she heard him say again. But before she could reply her phone rang. She averted her gaze and fetched out her phone before answering the call.

"Hello."

"Well, hello there wife. I've missed you so much."
