DEMON'S FATE ( BOOK 2) - Episode 3

The hall was crowded with demons, some of them were highly drunk, while some were barely sober,

 music was booming everywhere, with demon's dancing and being cheerful 

Even though the party was organize because of Grey,

he strolled in late without the care of the world, he was not really the party type,

but he mainly attends because its kind of important he shows his face around especially when the party was organize because of him, he does not want to seem rude to his uncle, 

And most especially get in trouble with his uncle, he sighed softly as he stood close to the entrance,

he rest his back on the wall and watched the demons partying, he collected a drink from one of the demons who was serving.

He opened his drink and slowly sip his drink as he continue to watch the other demons who were dancing 

Hey Grey, somebody said from his sides,

Grey practically rolled his eyes even without looking he knows that voice very well

"Erna"

Grey ignored her and continue to sip his drink, he was not in the mood to talk to her 

Hey Grey, am talking to you, Erna said as she moved a bit closer to Grey, she trail her fingers down his chest 

Why don't you want to talk to me, Erna asked whining 

Take those fingers of yours off me, before I break each one them, Grey snapped making Erna shiver a bit in fear,

she knew Grey was serious about it, and he will do it if she pushes further, 

Erna shifted backward a little leaving some space between them, she just don't want to push her luck 

What's wrong Grey? Erna asked, but she was still mindful of Grey,

I just want us to have fun together, she added biting her lips and looking at Grey seductively

Grey sigh softly, 

"Why don't this girl just get the hint" he muttered angrily to himself,

he did not really meant it when he said he was going to break her fingers,

but he had to say it so she would leave him alone but clearly, she still don't get it.

Maybe I will have to teach her a lesson, so she can stop chasing me,

yes thats what I will do, Grey said to himself.

I don't want to have fun with you, Grey said bluntly

But.....

Get out of my way, Grey said cutting the word out of her mouth,

 he pushed her out of the way, becsuse he did not want to hear another word from her mouth, 

"She's so annoying"

 

He ventured into the crowd of demons, walking casually,

he was aware that people were shooting glances at him, but he did not care

I would have rather prefer to stay at home than to be here,

if I actually have the choice, he sighed softly as he sat down on a stool.

He spotted his brother in the company of female demon's,

he shook his head as he watched his brother

" That's all he know how to do" Grey muttered 

 

An hour later, Grey was getting bored, he decided he has spent a lot of time in the party and it was time he went home,

he stood up from his sit and made his way to the exist of the hall

Before he could walk out, he was blocked by his brother and two other demon's who was standing by his brother side

Grey crossed his hand as he glared at his brother, 

Get out of my way, Grey snapped, 

He was not just ready for anything his brother has planned,

he just wants to go home, and have a good night sleep.

You think you can just embarrass me in front of all those demons and go free, josh said as he glared back at his brother 

You called for it, and you deserve it, Grey muttered angrily

Now, get out of my way he said as he tried to push pass them,

but the demons did not move, Grey knows he was slightly drunk and he was not in the mood to fight.

Grey was drag outside by the the two demons, his brother also joined them outside,

Grey was shoved roughly to the wall, he stumbled a little but he did not lose his balance,  he stood and watch the demons

"ATTACK HIM"

Josh ordered making the two demons lunge towards Grey without wasting time,

Grey, roughly shoved the first demon to attack him on the ground,

 he then focus his attention on the other demon, he kicked the other demon so hard that he fell on the ground

the other demon who was pushed to the ground attack Grey from his back,

josh who saw his other demon wass down, attack Grey with a knife,

Grey quickly protected his stomach from the impact which made the knife cut deep into the flesh of his hand,

he pushed the other demon, from his back and attack his brother, he punched him with rage,

josh was so helpless, Grey wanted to punch him one last time, but he stooped himself

"He is still my brother" he said to himself

He let go of josh, he shot him one last look

"STAY OUT OF MY WAY" Grey said sternly to his brother, before he head home, with his hand still bleeding from the impact of the knife 

 

He managed to get home, he pushed the door opened and slam it shut

Grey is that you? Anna's  voice rang from her room, and Grey can hear her loud footstep coming downstairs

He cursed himself softly, he did not really meant to wake his mother up,

but he was very angry, and he did not have the time to think that  the sound would wake his mother up, since his mother was a light sleeper, 

Grey, his mother called as she came downstairs, 

What.......

The word died in her mouth, when she saw her son bleeding, 

What happened? She asked, not evening giving time for him to explain,

she drag him to the bathroom, to clean up his wounds

Grey could see the worry in her face, 

Mom, am fine he mumbled,

Anna ignored him as she continue to dress her son's wound

What happened? She asked quietly

I was attacked by josh and two other demons Grey said quietly

Anna sighed softly, as she shook her head,

its done she said referring to the wound

Get some rest, she said as she left the bathroom and head back to her room,

Grey heard her door shut, he then stood up, and he tried to pull his shirt off, its was hard but he still got it off

He changed his clothes and got into bed, he sighed softly,

the pain from the cut was much, but he has gotten used to pain, for a longtime

This is not the worse I have gotten myself injured he said to himself

"This will pass" he said to himself as he finally drift off to sleep.

Ariel, woke up the next morning feeling pain in her hand,

she got up with a frown on her face,  and she inspect her hand,

she did not find any cut,

she sighed softly, this was not the first time, she do wake up with pain in one part of her body,

she shook her head as she went to the bathroom,

she did not know if she should tell her parents, she quickly shook her, she does not want to bother them, 

Maybe nothing is wrong, she said out loud trying to convince herself that it means nothing, she quickly put on the shower and step inside

 

Few minutes later, she got out from the shower, and head downstairs, 

Hey honey, Raguel said to his daughter, as she came downstairs 

Good morning Dad, Ariel said as she kissed her dad's cheek 

Did you sleep well, Raguel asked looking at his daughter with a smile

Yes dad, I did Ariel said as she returned the smile.

Raguel looked at his daughter with a little frown on his face, he watched as she held her hands as if she was in pain

Is everything alright with your hand? Raguel said as he pointed to Ariel's hand which she supported with the other one

Ariel nooded her head, 

Her father gave her a skeptical look, which Ariel notice, 

I think I slept on it, she blurted out 

Okay, if you say so, Raguel said not looking convince by what his daughter had said but he just let it slide 

Ariel left her dad, and hurried to kitchen to meet her mother,

she hates lying to her parents but she just had to, when she does not understand what is going on herself 

She sighed softy as she shook her head

Elena turned to face her daughter, immediately she heard her daughter sigh

What is it Ariel? Elena asked with concern in her voice

Ariel looked at her mother's face and saw the look of concern in her face,

she cursed herself 

Mom, am fine, Ariel said with a smile, don't worry about me she said as she hugged her mother 

Okay, Elena said as they continue their cooking.

 

Raguel sat in the living room with his father, Raphael

I think there is something up with Ariel, Raguel said looking at the direction of his daughter

Why do you think so? Raphael asked 

She has been acting off lately, Raguel said

Don't worry too much about her, Raphael said softy,

she is a grown up, and I think she can handle what she's going through,

if she can't am sure she will let you know what's going on, Raphael added with a  smile.

Raguel nodded his head agreeing to the word of his father

Ariel and her family eat their breakfast in silence, she helped her mother with the dishes as she made her way to her uncle

Hey uncle Michael, Ariel said cheerfully

Are you ready to go for your training now, since you did not go yesterday, Michael asked

Ariel nod with a smile, her uncle always figure out what she is always up to.

Okay, Michael said

Have you told your parents? Michael asked 

Ariel turned on her heels as she raced to meet her parents,

she quickly told them where she was going, and raced back to her uncle

Am ready, she said with a smile

Michael chuckle and flashed his wings, let's go then, he said, Ariel flashed her wings and they both left.

 

Few hours later, Ariel returned home with her uncle looking very tired 

Honey, you look exhausted, Maria her grandmother said as she observed her granddaughter,

Ariel nodded her, 

she did really great today, Michael said

Michael was not looking tired as Ariel  was

because he is a pure Angel and his body refreshes itself but Ariel was only an half Angel, since her mother Elena is human and also an half Angel, but her father Raguel is a pure Angel.

Ariel hurried upstairs, as she immediately took a quick shower, 

she lay on her bed, she was really exhausted that it did not take time for her to drift off.
